Chapter 383 - APOLOGY

"What else do you want to know about him?" Jillyanna asked before pulling out the chair and sat in front of their small dining table.

Travis arranged their dishes in front of her to make sure that they were within her reach. "I wanted to know if he is a good businessman or if he does anything shady. He sent me a proposal but I don't know much about him and I don't want to put our business at risk."

She put her chin on her hand while thinking what kind of person Natsu was. "Hmm, as a person, he's really nice and kind. I don't know if that's how he treat everyone else or it was just me. You know what I mean? At the same time, when it comes to business, what I knew is that he doesn't deal with anything illegal or unorthodox."

"I see. Well, I'll think about his proposal some other time." He sat on the chair beside her and put several dishes on Jillyanna's plate. "Let's eat."

They ate their breakfast while talking about other things aside from Natsu. They were happily chatting and devouring their food when Top knocked on the door.

"Boss, there is a delivery for the young madam." Top spoke softly, and beside him was a delivery guy with big bouquet of red roses.

Travis looked at Jillyanna who also looked back at him with her eyes blinking in confusion. "Did you order flowers for me?" Jillyanna asked him while letting the delivery man get inside. He handed her the bouquet and a clipboard to sign her name.

Travis raised his eyebrow with this interruption. Not only his wife got a flower but it was also from someone else.

Top escorted the man out and closed the door behind him to leave the couple.

Jillyanna looked at the bouquet which was really nice but at the same time, it was weird to receive one that wasn't from her husband.

"Are you sure you didn't buy this?" Jillyanna asked again while looking at the flowers if there was any card or letter involved.

"My wife, I would know if I'm the one who bought the flowers or not. Why would I send you a bunch of ugly roses?" Travis sneered while looking at the flower with contempt.

Jillyanna chuckled and put away the flowers to continue eating. "Well, it wasn't yours but let's keep it. I feel bad for the flowers."

"Fine." Travis agreed but he wanted to know who the person that sent his wife those flowers.

Not long after Jillyanna received the bouquet, her phone rang and a very familiar name was flashing on the screen.

"Speak of the devil and here he comes." she mumbled while showing Travis the caller. She picked up the call in front of Travis while shoving a tomato on her mouth. "I'm eating my breakfast. What do you want?"

Natsu smiled upon hearing her lazy yet sexy voice. Too bad, she wasn't meant for him. He was sitting on his chair, facing the floor-to-ceiling glass window, watching the crowd below and the passing vehicles.

"Did you received the flowers? I remember that you like red roses."

Jillyanna raised her eyebrow but she remained polite since he didn't say anything rude towards her.

"I just got it. Thanks. However, I'd like to know what are these flowers for."

"It's my way of apologizing." Natsu stood up and paced back and forth in his office. "I know it was rude of me to show up when you're married already and I even thought of doing something dishonest. However, I realized that I don't want to be hated by you. Instead of claiming you by force and be hated in the end, I would rather be your friend. Will you accept my apology?"

Travis on the other hand heard everything he said since Jillyanna turned the speaker and placed her phone on the table. But he didn't say anything. It was a personal matter between his wife and Natsu.

Jillyanna smiled and looked at the flowers again. "Come and attend my wedding next month. I will accept your apology by then and welcome you as a friend."

Natsu was chuckling faintly on the other line. He didn't expect her to be this bold. "You aren't so sadistic, are you? I just gave you up and you want me to watch you walk down the aisle for another man. Are you torturing me on purpose?"

"Of course not. I will be happy if you can come." Jillyanna responded. "As a friend, won't you celebrate this special occasion with me?"

"Alright. If you send me an invitation. I would really come and witness your vows."

"Expect it." Jillyanna retorted. "I'll continue eating now. Bye."

"Bye." Natsu put down his phone with a heavy heart.

"Your highness, are you really giving up this business? Are you willing to take over the throne?" his assistant, the son of the Prime Minister, asked him happily. He was tasked to look after the Prince who was the next in line for the throne.

"Maybe. I want to find my cousin first. If I can't really find her before this year ends, I will take over the throne by next year."

Internal conflict to fight for supremacy was common occurence in a monarchy. Just like how his father became the Emperor after killing his older brother and sister-in-law. Natsu, didn't like the idea of occupying a seat that wasn't meant for him. Therefore, he needed to find Taira Azumi as soon as possible and return the throne to her.

Back at the hospital, Travis was putting away their empty dishes back inside the bag that Diego used to place the food container.

Jillyanna was arranging the flowers in a flower vase to put it on the table. "I think, Natsu will take over the crown." she commented out of nowhere while putting the flower stem one after another. "He was always looking for his cousin which was why he ventured the path of business. He thought he'd get more connection and would be able to find her."

"Do you know the name of his cousin?" Travis asked but he might have the idea already. He wasn't just sure of it.
