Chapter 382 - CAUGHT A COLD

Riley didn't close her window since she was on the second floor of the house. The wind blew gently, caressing her hair and waking her up from its cold breeze.

She rubbed her hair and found someone's arm holding her waist. Her back was leaning against someone's chest and the warmth that he exuded was comforting her bruises.

"Are you awake?" Shein asked her with so much concern since they weren't able to talk clearly last night.

"I have to go for a photoshoot today." she mumbled while trying to pry open his hand away from her waist. "Can you let go of me now? I want to take a shower."

"I don't want to." Shein mumbled and even tightened his hold on her. "I feel like, if I let you go, you'll ran off again."

Riley didn't say anything. She just stayed still, lying on her side of the bed without moving an inch. Her breathing was uneven and she felt the throbbing pain caused by the bruises on her back.

"Riri. I'm sorry. I know I was at fault, too. I shouldn't have teased you. I should have talked to you yesterday. If I didn't let you go, you won't get involved with a fight and get these bruises on your back."

Riley took a deep breath and sighed before turning her body over and faced him. "I'm fine. I already forgive you last night. So can you let go of me now? I still want to check if I can still save the bag you gave me."

Shein removed his hands from her waist and watched her go to the shower room.

Riley found the bag that she soaked with soap last night to remove the dirt and the blood stains. It wasn't a very expensive bag or a branded one but, it was the first gift that she received from Shein three years ago. She cherished and treasured it so much which was why she was so angry that a bloody hands touched her bag last night.

"Riri, what time will you leave?" Shein asked, still lying on her bed with no signs of leaving at all.

"I'll leave around ten in the morning." Riley answered from the bathroom. She was rinsing off the soap from the bag and was drying it using her hair dryer. "Would you like to have breakfast with me before you go to work?"

"I'll take you on with your suggestion." Shein agreed immediately. "I'll go back to my room now. I'll come and get you once I'm done."

"Okay." Riley responded simply and continued to do her current work. As much as possible, she wanted to keep his gift with her forever.

At the hospital, Jillyanna was having a headache early in the morning. Why? Because a certain someone caught a cold.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine after a rest." Travis mumbled but his nasal voice betrayed him and Jillyanna would never let it go.

"You are not fine. Just have yourself checked and let's ask for medicine, okay? I'm really worried." Jillyanna pressed her forehead on his to check his temperature. "I guess it's really just a mild cold. Even so, we couldn't be so laid back with mild cold. Let me call Eli instead."

She was about to reach for her phone but Travis stopped her. "I'll be fine. Promise. Just let me rest for a little bit."

Stubborn just like her, Jillyanna sat beside him helplessly. "I can't kiss you anymore. I don't want to catch your cold and infect our baby."

"Oh. I'll go ahead and have myself checked. I'm sure I'll be fine." Travis didn't wait for her to react and picked up his coat immediately and went out of the room.

Jillyanna was laughing inside her room when she was all alone. She didn't know if she should feel pity at him or if she should be delighted. He was really quick to react when she said that she won't kiss him anymore since he got a cold.

Travis would never let anything stop his wife from kissing him. He would make sure to get well soon. He walked towards the pharmacy and asked for over the counter medicine for colds, cough and fever. He wanted to be prepared to make sure that it won't get any worse.

He went back to her room and found her lying on his make-shift bed with a smile. "So? What did the doctor say?"

Travis avoided her gaze since he didn't look for a doctor. "I just bought several medicines. I know what's good for colds. I can handle this. I'll be fine in no time."

Jillyanna didn't want to force him and she knew that he wouldn't go for a check up so she contacted Eli earlier when he left.

"I'll be monitoring you until you get better." Jillyanna spoke and sat up straight on the bed. "No kissing though. Mild cold is still dangerous for my health."

"You really want to see a miserable me, don't you?" Travis let out a throaty chuckle while he placed his medicines on the table. "I'll be perfectly fine after a whole day of rest. And I'll make sure to get my missed kisses."

They were chatting happily in the morning when Cheska and Diego visited them. They brought them food which Cheska chose to cook in order to give Jillyanna a nutritious and sumptuous meal.

They don't really have any worries when it comes to food. The person who will visit them will let them know in advance and would bring them food as well. They would always visit them early in the morning, for breakfast, during lunch hours and around six or seven in the evening for dinner.

Travis didn't want Jillyanna to eat the food that the hospital provided so he was really thankful that their friends and families were willing to cook for them.

"I am glad to see that you are doing fine." Cheska commented when she saw Jillyanna sitting on a make-shift bed where Travis usually sleep. "Are you guys okay here?"

"Hn..We are." Jillyanna responded cheerfully. "Thanks for bringing us food."

"No worries. We are happy to offer a little help. Diego wanted to discuss some business matter, too." Cheska answered happily before taking a sit on a chair next to the bed. She would never sit on someone else's bed. "Will you be able to go out in the next few days?"

"If I won't have any relapse, I can go out tomorrow and on Sunday. I can only go out during weekends. Why?"

"You guys need to go for your suit and gown fitting." Cheska mentioned which Jillyanna had forgotten. It's not because she wasn't looking forward to it but because she was contented in having Travis beside her. With or without the grand wedding is fine. As long as she's with him and she was legally registered as his wife, she won't ask for more. However, Travis really wanted to give her a wedding.

"I see. I'll try my best not to relapse. I'll talk to him about it." Jillyanna stated with a faint smile. She didn't know what would happen to her. Even if she didn't do anything stressful, she would sometimes collapse on the spot so she can't make any promises anymore. She didn't want to break any additional promises.

Diego and Travis stayed on the couch near the window, talking about their business while watching their women talking in whisper not far from them.

"Do you know a man named Natsu Azumi?" Diego asked Travis as he opened his phone to show him an email. "I received it this morning and I was a little surprise. However, I don't know much about this man."

Travis read the email which was a proposal about expanding J Entertainment to Japan with their collaboration. Travis raised his eyebrow while reading the proposed benefits and contract.

"Put it aside for now. I'll check on it later when I get a grasped of what does he really wants. This man isn't someone I know but he is someone that Jillyanna knows."

"Oh. A love rival? Haha. Doesn't he know that you guys are married?"

"Of course he knows. He came to find her because he knows. Sadly, I'm staking my claim and I am not letting go of him even if I have to exchange all my business."

Diego chuckled with a light shake of his head. "I would never imagine that you'd become like this. Who would've thought that you'd fall in love to the same person after how many years? Looking at you making your own family, I'm quite envious."

"Then, why don't you make your own family?"

"I'm still working in getting her father's approval. You know how difficult it is to deal Mr. Suarez." Diego whispered not letting Cheska hear what he was saying. "I'm really afraid that I'd die from the pressure before getting her hands in marriage."

This time it was Travis who laughed at him. "Well, good luck to that. I'm pretty sure you'll overcome this obstacle. Just make sure to love Cheska and respect her. And, it is her mother who gets to make the last decision. Get her mother's approval and you will have a smooth sail."

"Alright. I'll think of some ways. Don't forget about this Natsu guy. Private matters aside, his business proposal is indeed great. And also, do something with your cold, do you want your wife to catch it?"

"I drank some medicine already." Travis mumbled with a glare. "Thanks for the food by the way. Let me feed my wife first since it's already eight in the morning."

"Okay. Go ahead and eat. I'll send Cheska to her office. I'll get back to get the food containers later."

Cheska also stand when she saw Diego walking towards their direction. "I'll be going to work now. You guys take care."

"Bye Ches. See you around." Jillyanna waved her hand at them as they strutted towards the door.

"Let's talk about Natsu." Travis spoke which made Jillyanna frown.
