Chapter 366 - IT HURTS

Later that night, when they had their dinner, Jillyanna informed everyone that they'd be going home to take a rest.

The news saddened Thomas because he wouldn't hear the laughters of his son and daughter-in-law for the time being. At the same time, he fully understood why she had to go back home so he didn't stop them from leaving.

Since they'd be visiting him in the hacienda from time to time, Jillyanna and Travis didn't pack their clothes back. They just left it in the wardrobe for future use.

Early in the morning, just when the sun greeted them, silently taking in the morning dew, Jillyanna woke up first and found herself lying on Travis' arms once again.

She just watched him silently, hugging him close and leaned her head on his chest. The freaking pain in her chest made her frown and she silently endure it while taking a deep breath to calm herself.

She learned not to panic when it comes to this issue since the more she panic the more she ran out of oxygen. The ticking of the clock was so slow and she closed her eyes and slowly released her shaking breath.

Feeling that the pain had subsided, Jillyanna opened her eyes again and looked up to see Travis staring at her.

"Did I wake you up?" she asked him and tried to smile but Travis only frowned looked at her coldly even more. "What's wrong?"

Instead of answering her, Travis threw her a question as well. "How long will you endure it in silence? When were you planning to tell me that it's getting worse? Do you just really want me to watch you faint, collapse or even die?!"

Jillyanna bit her lips and looked down to avoid seeing his fiery glares. "It wasn't really that painful. Just a tiny prick of pain." Jillyanna tried to reason out with him.

"It's not painful? Do you even know how pale you are? And don't forget you're lying in my arms. I can feel the scold sweat on your back. Your forehead is covered with sweat as well." When Jillyanna tried to open her mouth again, Travis cut her off before she can say anything. "Don't even try to reason that it's hot because the AC is giving me chills." Though he exaggerated it, it was indeed true that the room temperature was cold and it wouldn't cause you to sweat.

Jillyanna wanted to open her mouth to say something but she closed it again. With her mouth going open and closed, she was like a fish that was looking for food.

Frustrated that she couldn't find anything to refute, she pulled herself up and sat up on their bed. "Fine. It hurts. It's f*cking painful! But what can you do about this?! What else can I do aside from enduring the pain? Do you want me to take the medication and get my child affected? Do you want me to get abortion so I can go for the surgery? Tell me." Her tears fell on her face and she wiped it abruptly. "I don't have any other choice but to endure this pain if I want to keep our baby safe. So please, just let me swallow this pain. Stop worrying about me."

Travis pulled her back and hugged her beside him. "Jill, I just can't really help it. Seeing you in pain, watching you faint, looking at your pale face and feeling your cold sweat, these things are making me feel useless. Sometimes, I tend to question myself as to what I can do to ease your pain. Sometimes, I'll ask of what is my purpose in meeting you again. Can you understand how I feel? I feel so useless beside you."

Jillyanna stayed silent for quite a while. Her warm tears fell on his arms so he wiped it off with his thumb. "You are not useless. In fact, you help me so much that all I need to worry is myself. You should never feel that way." Jillyanna whispered to him in between hiccups.

"Stop crying. We'll get through this. If it's really really painful, you must tell me so that we can have you checked in the hospital. I won't let anything to happen to you and our baby."

"But you have to keep your promise, okay?" Jillyanna reached out her hand and gently touched his face. "If worse comes to worst, you will be choosing the baby over me."

Travis closed his eyes over this thought once again before he faintly nodded his head in agreement.

"Let's get up. We'll have to leave after breakfast." Jillyanna wiped her tears and pushed herself up again.

Travis did the same thing, stretched for a few times before entering the bathroom to prepare her warm bath in the tub.

Jillyanna stood up in front of her vanity mirror and looked at her baby bump, warmth spreading in her heart and eyes.

She walked to the wardrobe right after appreciating her growing baby and chose their clothes for that day.

While they were preparing to come home, Valkyrie, Brown, Savannah and Hawk received a new mission this time.

They will have to check on a motor parts warehouse in city D which people believed to be a drug den.

Since the warehouse was built, drug users in city D increased and people claimed that the owner of the warehouse never let anyone make delivery during day time.

All deliveries will always happen in the middle of the night and boxes of different parts will be hauled out of the cargo or big trucks. However, people never see anyone bought any motor parts from them yet their business were getting bigger.

Savannah deleted the message that Calhoun sent her and walked to Hawk. "We'll have to inform Travis ahead of time so that he can make adjustments."

"Let's talk to him when we get back home." Hawk responded as he packed some of their personal equipments.
