Chapter 286 - STROLLING IN THE GARDEN

The next day, early in the morning, Jillyanna received a call from Jackie about what happened. She didn't mind about it and let Jackie do whatever she wanted to do to accomplish the task. She wasn't really pressuring her about it because she knew that Jackie will always find a way.

"My wife, I want to walk in the garden." Travis spoke softly while watching the garden outside the window.

Jillyanna knew that he's gotten bored inside the room so she accompanied him outside, pushing his wheelchair slowly to get into the elevator.

"Are you bringing me to your house or to my house tomorrow?" Travis asked Jillyanna. He will be discharged tomorrow and he was worried about the inconvenience he'd cause to other people.

"I'm bringing you to my house - our house. In that way, I can perfectly take care of you and you will see familiar faces every day."

"I see. Won't I be a bother?"

"Think about being a bother once more and I will leave you here."

"Sorry. I just don't want to impose on anyone."

"I know. Which is why I'm going to take care of you. Dad, will take care of the company with Savannah and Hawk. Valkyrie will be watching over them for added security. Brown will be taking care of you with me. My siblings will be taking care of my personal affairs. Thinking about it, we don't have many things to worry about."

They chatted on their way down and Jillyanna spent her time reassuring him. When the arrived on the ground floor, they met Eliezer who was on his way to start his shift.

"How are you both?" Eliezer asked in relax manner. He didn't look at Jillyanna for a long time because a certain someone was observing him carefully.

"I'm fine. My wife has been taking care of me. Thank you for asking." Travis answered in straight-forward manner.

"That's good to know. I'll head up now. See you around."

"Bye Eli. Have a great shift." Jillyanna greeted him at the same time, waving her hand as he pushed Travis towards the direction of the garden.

"You seemed really close to that doctor." Travis spoke in a low voice, trying not to sound jealous in front of her.

Jillyanna stopped pushing his wheelchair in front of a koi fish pond. She at on the bench beside him and watched the fishes swam happily.

"Eli is our family doctor. He is a good friend of mine since I was young. His father is also a doctor and they took care of me whenever I got hospitalized. When my parents left, my foster parents contacted them whenever I got sick. That's hot they stayed in contact with me."

"I see. He seemed really nice. Does he have anyone he likes? He seemed to be a lady's man to me."

"You are right. He's got so many girls around him but I've never heard of him dating anyone. He's been single for years now. His father was even pushing him to get married. But Eli is still young so I understand why he didn't want to settle down yet. Or perhaps, he hadn't met the right girl for him."

Travis smiled upon hearing the truth from her. He knew when someone was lying to him but Jillyanna never did. Whatever questions he asked, she would always tell him the truth.

"Can I kiss you?"

"Huh?" Jillyanna didn't see this coming. "What's with this sudden request?"

"Nothing particular. I just want to kiss you."

"Then why are you asking permission?"

"Shouldn't I ask then?"

"I don't know." Jillyanna started blush with the direction of their conversation. Whenever they talk, Travis would always find a way and they would end up kissing.

The difference this time was that, they were outside his room. People were passing by and she was getting embarrassed.

Seeing her flushed face, Travis chuckled on his seat. He took hold of her hand and just watched his surrounding. "Should we make a koi fish pond in the garden? Just a small one to give a little fantastic vibe in it. They said that koi fishes are signs of good luck, too."

"I think it's fine. We have a huge space at home anyway. Do you want to take a walk around?"

"Won't you get tired?"

"Nope. I'll follow you with the wheelchair so that you can sit immediately whenever you get tired."

"Okay. I'll take a walk for about 15 minutes then we'll get back inside to eat breakfast." Travis stood up from his seat and walk slowly around the fish pond. Sometimes, he would pick a flower that he found pretty and gave it to Jillyanna.

"When I get back my strength, I'll plant many flowers for you again."

"Thanks in advance. I'll take care of them properly."

"You don't have to. I'll take care of them for you." He placed a pink rose on her hand and kissed her forehead. "You only have to take care of yourself and our baby."

"And you. I'll take care of you."

"The sweetest and caring wife in the world is Jillyanna Madrigal. And I'm the lucky man she married."

"Stop spouting nonsense." Jillyanna laughed faintly while placing the flower inside her coat pocket.

Some couples like them were strolling in the hospital garden, too. They could see how much Jillyanna loved her husband and just how much effort her husband put to recover his strength.

There were old couples who enjoyed watching their interactions, too. Even doctors could see the fast recovery of Travis because of Jillyanna.

"Love can do miracles. When we lost hope because he was unresponsive, she remained strong and stubborn. She didn't give up and took care of him." The old doctor assigned to Travis commented as he looked down at the garden and saw the couple.

"She would often cry silently beside him but she would face everyone with a smile. Mr. Madrigal is very lucky to marry such a good wife."

"Lucky indeed."

As they talk about them, time was up and Travis sat back on his wheelchair. Jillyanna pushed him towards the huge tree and rested for awhile.

Unexpectedly, she kissed Travis on his temple which really surprised him. "Uh..that..that was for working hard this morning." Jillyanna stated shyly.

"That's all?"

"What a greedy husband you are." she spoke in a joking manner but she still leaned closer and placed a light kiss on his lips. "I love you."
