Chapter 253 - SECRET KISSES AND HUGS

Riley got home, tired and exhausted from taking photo shoots and short videos the whole day. Well, they had to take breaks from time to time when the sun gets too hot because they didn't want to ruin her beauty from too much heat.

"You are just too beautiful to be put under the blazing sun." the director told her every time she turned pink.

Riley didn't like it though. She didn't want to be a hindrance during work and as much as possible she wanted to work smoothly with everyone.

"What's with your face? Had a rough day?" Jackie asked her when she entered the living room. She threw her bag on the other couch and sat beside her twin sister.

She hugged her sister's waist, stopping her from reading whatever was on her tablet. "Everyone was so nice to me that I am feeling guilty." she mumbled to her sister in a helpless tone. "We had to take several breaks today because they didn't want to put me for too long under the sun. Even though they put it nicely in front of me, I felt like I was a hindrance to them."

Jackie caressed her sister's hair while giving her advice. "Maybe they really mean it. Your beauty and talent is your key to success. If they would ruin you, they would just be wasting an opportunity to see a phoenix rising from the ashes."

"Stop speaking nonsense to me. Anyway, I will continue to work hard." she cheered herself and stood up from the couch. "Where's Shein?"

"In his room. He said he wanted to get something for you." Jackie informed her little sister. This time, she was feeling like she was invading a love nest. 'It's never easy to play the third wheel.' She mentally added while watching her sister go.

Riley took a shower first and changed her clothes before going to Shein's room. She knocked on his door thrice before the man opened the door for her.

"Did you find the things I asked you?" she asked him immediately without entering his room. She just stood outside with her hands on her back, like a sneaky little girl who was hiding something from him.

Shein laughed faintly before pulling her inside his room and locked the door behind him. "Why were you standing there like an idiot?"

"If it was before, I will never have an issue coming to your room. However, you and I are both adults now. It is improper to stay in one room with just the both of us." Riley explained her thoughts since she didn't want him to misunderstand her.

Shein pulled her into his warm embrace and placed a light kiss on her head. "I understand your point. We have to be careful with your image as well. No worries, I won't do this again."

"Huh?"

"What 'huh?"

"What are you not doing again? You won't hug me again? You won't kiss me again?" Riley asked in panic because it seemed to her that they were going to have a cool off.

It was Shein who was utterly confused this time. "No, that's not what I mean."

"Never mind." Riley rolled her eyes. "Just give me the result of the things I asked you."

"Riri, are you angry? It's not really what I mean."

"If you say that it is not, then it is not. I believe you so you don't have to explain." She knew how difficult it was for Shein to express his thoughts and she didn't want to give him a hard time. She held his face with both her hands and looked at him in the eyes. "When the time comes, I'll tell the whole world that you are mine and mine alone."

"I didn't know you are this possessive." Shein teased her before placing another kiss on the tip of her nose.

"What can I do? I am selfish and I don't want anyone to have unnecessary thoughts toward you."

"Hn. I'm all yours. I think Jackie and Big Sis know about us though."

"We can't really hide anything from them. It's fine, they're family." Riley dismissed anything negative out of her mind. For now, she wants to spend time with him.

"Regarding the things you asked..." he led her to his study table and opened the laptop. "...this is the things I found."

"Yay! Thanks a lot." Riley checked each file and the corner of her lips was lifted into an evil smile. She would make sure to teach them a lesson.

"Do you want to compete with those women? What exactly happened for you to do this?"

"They talk behind my back and said I have no talent. So, I will show them who's got talent and who don't."

"Ohhh...Then, go ahead. We will wait and see with the result. It's not like they got the role yet. Anyone can have them so why can't you?"

"Absolutely! Just as I thought." Riley smiled cheerfully at him. "You and I are really meant to be."

She sent Wynwyn the information she got and told her that she wanted to give it a try. It was for an action movie and she wanted to audition for the second-female lead.

"Alright. Since we are done with the advertisement for the jewelry, you can spend your time to prepare for the audition." Wynwyn replied to her e-mail.

The movie will be set abroad and most of the times it involves gun and swords. You should be nimble to move around and must have skills when it comes to shooting and fencing. "This is for me."

It could be said that hearing those words from the girls which caused her to look into the works they were after was a blessing in disguise. But, that's a story for later.

Jillyanna on the other hand finally found the right schedule to fit her flight. She needed to deal with her personal issue as soon as possible. She didn't want Travis to worry once he finds out her condition.

"I hope everything will turn out fine." Jillyanna sighed to herself while watching the sleeping face of her husband. "I hope you will wake up soon."

She stood up and left her seat to eat her dinner and she didn't notice the slightest movement of his index finger at all.
