Chapter 235 - WORRIED FOR NOTHING

Jillyanna was about to go home when she remembered the recording she secretly took when she was with Valkyrie. She didn't know how the two of them were doing and she wasn't sure if their relationship had any progress.

Still, she thought it would help so she sent the recording to Brown before packing up and went out of her office with Savannah.

Jackie and Shein hadn't come back from J Entertainment yet and she didn't want to interrupt their little reunion.

"Do you think Brown and Valkyrie will patch their relationship?" Savannah asked her when they were inside the elevator. "I really want them to be happy. It was really obvious that they like each other so why bother hiding what you feel? Don't you agree with me?"

Jillyanna nodded her head and smiled. "I certainly agree with you. At the same time, we can't really hurry them. First, Brown was deeply hurt and was concern about how others would judge them. Second, Brown was worried about Dr. Anderson. He didn't want to repay his kindness with betrayal. All we can do is support them and let them trust the process."

Savanna also smiled after hearing her words. Jillyanna was right. All they can do was to support their friends and help them realize that they would back them up even when people chastised them and judge there relationship.

Brown received a message from Jillyanna with a voice recording attached to it. Thinking that it was something confidential, he took out his airpods and played the recording.

A voice that was so familiar to him since he was young resonated from his ears to his heart. It was the same voice who kept pestering him everyday and would throw a fuss whenever he refused to let him sleep beside him.

-My problem is a difficult situation, right?- He was asking the person he was talking to, clearly it was Jillyanna since she was the one who sent him the voice recording.

-Why didn't you tell him about your feelings by the way? I mean, you are aware of his feelings for you. So why?-

She didn't sound like anyone prying over someone's secret but she was more concerned for the relationship between the two men. Since the first time she met them, Jillyanna was the first to voice out her support. Perhaps it was to make herself feel happy in the presence of a live BL but still, her support didn't dwindle.

There was a few seconds of silence before he heard Valkyrie's soft and worried voice again. He sounded so distant and Brown felt the pain in his words.

-I was scared. I was scared that he would change his mind. I know there's something wrong with me since I was young but I hid it because of my father. I don't want to disappoint him. However, Evan came into our lives and changed everything. Dad cares for him and I don't want to taint him. You know that love for same sex is feeble right and not everyone can accept that. I don't want anyone to judge him. I don't want people to ridicule him. I don't want people to feel disgusted of him. I just want him to live a normal life.-

Brown gave a hollow laugh while listening to his words. He blinked his eyes, trying to blink his tears away that hang on to his lashes.

-That's what you want but are you certain that he likes it. You shouldn't decide what's best for him. He is an adult like you. He knows the consequences that you guys will face. I really like watching you two interact. Yes, it is true that not everyone is very open to that kind of relationship. What can they do? It is your life. Live it.-

These words stunned Brown the most. Despite the circumstances that Jillyanna faced before and after meeting Travis, she still remained the same. She didn't abandon anyone and she didn't care about anyone's opinion as long as the people she cared about were happy and safe. Sadly, Travis wasn't safe at the moment that he was listening to the audio.

-You really are a good advisor. I am a little bit relieved.- Indeed, Brown could her the deep sigh and relief in his voice.

-Are you sure you like Evan?-

This time, there wasn't a pause at all. Valkyrie answered almost immediately after her question. - Would I even let him kiss me if I don't?-

-Really?- there was surprise, eagerness and teasing tone in Jillyanna's question. -When and where?"

-Why should I tell you?-

-Because I might use it as a reference for my book.- Brown remembered the first time they formally introduced themselves. She once told them that she wanted to write a book about the two of them.

-No wonder you are a perfect match for Travis. He kissed me once but I kissed him many times. Don't ask the specific. He doesn't even know the times that I did it.-

Brown was dumb speechless. He unconsciously touched his lips and he felt numb and hot. 'How the hell did he do it that I didn't even realized he did it already?' he asked himself, not getting the answer he was looking for though and he would never asked him this question.

-You thief. Good thing you didn't eat him.-

-I won't eat him until everything is clear.-

-We are talking about the same type of eating right?-

-We are.-

-I will try my best to persuade Winter. You try your best to persuade Brown when you get the chance.-

-Hn. I will search for things that he likes.-

-Recall the times you secretly kissed him and give him the same number of flowers. I bet he won't expect it.-

-Is this what you learned in school?-

-Nope. I always ditch my class and go somewhere and I always end up watching BL.-

-Why didn't I know of this?- It was Travis who interrupted their conversation. The recording ended their and Brown couldn't help stop laughing on his bed.

"This woman. You never knew when she will throw her silly antics at you and make you laugh. I hope she's doing fine." Brown put down his phone and buried his face on his pillow. 'Come to think of it. There were a bunch of flowers inside the room that day. Don't tell me he kissed me secretly many times in the past? Oh god! I was worried for nothing!'
