Chapter 221 - WON'T HOLD BACK I

Jillyanna went back to his room and didn't say anything to anyone. She just approached his sleeping face and felt it with the back of her hands.

"Warm. This feeling, as long as this exist I won't let you go." Her tears fell on his bed again. "Travis, I won't give up on you so don't give up on us, okay? I will wait no matter how long it will take. I don't care how much money we will spend as long as I get to see you again." she sat on the chair beside him and hugged his waist lightly. "You promised you'll stay with me. You said you won't break it."

Watching her cry in front of Travis made Savannah cry, too. She had witnessed their ups and downs and she knew how long Travis was looking for her. She knew how much effort Jillyanna exerted just to start trusting him and to open up her heart again.

'God, how can you be so cruel?' Savannah questioned mentally while wiping her tears. She went out of the room to find Hawk and gave Jillyanna some space, too.

"I can guess what the doctor said." Hawk commented when Savannah sat beside him on the bench. "When they checked him earlier, I was watching them do their tests. I noticed their disappointed look that they tried to hide. I also found that there was no response from Travis with the different stimuli they prepared for him."

"Perhaps they won't declare it yet and would wait for few days more but I am sure Jillyanna knew about what will happened already." Savannah sniffed and hiccuped from crying earlier.

The bodyguards also felt guilty about what happened. It was their job to protect their employer but they didn't do it. They felt useless. "Shall we resign from this job?" one of the bodyguards asked his colleagues.

"I wanted to but I want to do it once our boss is fine." answered another man.

"I agree with you. What we can do now is to make sure that nothing happens to the young madam."

They all discussed it and decided to stay. They will think about resignation once Travis fine but for now, they will make sure to guard his room.

When no one was around, Jillyanna pulled out her phone and called someone. "Sorry I had to disturb you yesterday. I didn't really want to involve you in this matter but you are the only person I know who can help me."

"It's fine. How's your husband?" the man on the other line asked. His voice was gentle like the summer breeze swinging the flowers to dance but there was still a tinge of childishness in it.

"He is not fine. Anyway, when will you come back here? You sent Rylie and Jackie yesterday like lightning to deal with the man but he escaped earlier." Jillyanna complained like a child who lost to someone but won't just forget it.

In fact, between her and the man she was talking to, Jillyanna was older than him by four years. The women she mentioned namely Rylie and Jackie were younger to her by three years - they're twins.

The man sighed on the phone which was very clear to Jillyanna's ear. "I will locate him for you. Rylie and Jackie are still within the city so they can help you again. If he will escape again, I will not help you anymore."

"He can't escape. I will take care of him." Jillyanna responded, the corner of her lips pulled into a smile but her eyes look cold.

"I will be back next week by the way." The man stated which made Jillyanna smile genuinely this time. "I really hate your troublesome life."

"I'll see you next week." Jillyanna responded happily. If she was alone, she can perfectly protect herself. However, since she wasn't allowed to move recklessly, she needed someone she can really trust to protect the people she cared about.

She found the food that Savannah prepared for her on the table. She ate it while watching Travis on his bed but there were no changes at all.

After eating, she threw the disposable items and cleaned the table. Savannah came back inside and saw what she was doing.

"Why didn't you call me? I can clean this for you. Don't tire yourself so much. Go and take a rest." Savannah spoke to her and grabbed the tissue from her hand.

"Savy, I appreciate that you've been helping me but you don't really have to do this. You can still go and spend your vacation time."

"I don't feel like going on a trip with Travis lying down here. I'd better stay and make sure that you are doing fine."

"Thank you." Jillyanna smiled faintly at her. "By the way, I will be going out for a while to meet with my friends. I will be back in less than two hours."

"Should I come with you or Hawk?"

"No need. I will be fine and trust me Savy, nothing will ever happen to me again." she picked up her coat, phone and wallet before heading out.

Hawk stood up when he saw her walking out of the room. "It's night time. Where are you going?"

"I am meeting with my friends. Don't worry about me. Please take care of Travis." she was just about to go when she turned back again. "Don't let anyone follow me."

The bodyguards who wanted to follow her stopped on their tracks. They were embarrassed and guilty at the same time but they couldn't do anything.

"Hn. Be extra careful. I know you can easily defend yourself. I'm just reminding you to be vigilant all the time." Hawk told her like a big brother does to his younger sister.

Jillyanna received a text message and a smile crept on her face but it never reached her eyes. 'It's payback time.' she thought to herself. "Thanks Hawk. I won't hold myself back this time." And with that she left the place alone.
