Chapter 213 - THE COLD JILLYANNA

"Okay. Let me call Hawk to pick us up." Travis agreed to reassure her. He was holding Jillyanna's bag so he pulled out his phone from her bag which worried him.

In his notification was several missed calls from his secretary. "Let me call my secretary first. Looks like she's got an urgent matter."

"Go ahead." Her anxiety was so high that she felt suffocated from breathing hard. She was looking left and right to see if there's anyone who will most likely attack them.

The both of them walked out of the photo studio while Travis was trying to reach his secretary. He was dialing her number thrice but no one answered him.

"This is bad." he cursed beside her before dialing someone else's number. "Find my secretary right now." that's all he said and called someone else again.

They were crossing the road to get back to their car when Jillyanna saw a car speeding up towards them. "Travis!"

It happened so quick that her braincells weren't able to process the details of the event. Travis threw his phone and pulled her in his arms. His right hand was protecting her head and his left hand was holding her waist to protect the baby.

He launched his body to the side of the road, acting as a cushion to protect Jillyanna when they landed. They bodyguards didn't expect it to happen and they were all shock.

Jillyanna was shock to the point that she couldn't hear anything around her. She raised her head to see if Travis was fine but all she could see was blood.

"Travis?" she called out to them. She didn't even want to move because she saw afraid to worsen his state. "Travis, please open up your eyes. I'm scared."

No matter how many times she called he didn't answer her. Jillyanna started crying in his arms while trying to pull her body away from him. That's the time she saw his actual situation.

An ambulance arrived and they put Travis on a stretcher as well as Jillyanna. The bodyguards picked up her bag and Travis' phone before following them to the hospital.

The four of the bodyguards called different people simultaneously to inform them of what happened. Thomas almost had a heart attack again but it was a good thing that Brown was there.

"Instead of a celebration, am I getting a funeral?" Thomas questioned himself with a shaking voice.

"Travis will be fine uncle. He will be fine." Brown comforted the old man beside him. Instead of a celebration, they all went to the hospital to see how they were doing.

Travis was still inside the operation room while Jillyanna went through different tests to make sure that she and the baby was fine.

"I can only pray and hope that your husband will be fine. He protected you so well that you only got scratches here and there. No serious injury or wound. The baby is also doing fine." The doctor who checked on her stated with a faint smile.

Jillyanna started crying and held on to the doctor's hands. "Please ask them to do their best. Money is not an issue. I just want my husband to survive."

"I understand. Don't cry or the baby will also be unhappy. As doctors we love to see our patients survive too."

Jillyanna stopped crying and wiped her face with the tissue that the doctor gave her. Since there wasn't anything worrisome in her situation, she didn't stay long and got herself discharged with the help of the bodyguards.

She also got her bag and the bodyguards guided her to where Travis was having his operation. Not long after she arrived, their family came with sorrowful expressions.

Jillyanna didn't say anything to them. She didn't look at them either. She was fiddling with Travis' phone since it was still working. There was just a small crack at the top but it was still doable. She saw the several missed calls from his secretary and if she remembered correctly, it looked like to her that it was an urgent matter like what Travis said.

She dialed the number again but it will just ring and ring without anyone answering her call. She also found the number that Travis called earlier and dialed it again.

"Sir, we haven't found secretary Eva. But we are sure that she's still within the premises of our company. The people in the Finance Department said that she hasn't come back since lunch yet." The man on the other side talk and talk and Jillyanna just listened to him. She didn't cut him off until he was done talking.

"Look at the CCTV and the place that she was before she got lost from the camera's sight. Find her at the places that doesn't have cameras. You only have three hours to find her before I fire you. Do your job and find his secretary."

The man on the other line stiffened from the sudden coldness of her voice. He was a fan and he heard her voice many times through her singing but he didn't expect that it can be this cold as well.

"Yes ma'am. We will find her right away." The man ended the call and turned to his colleagues. "Looks like something happened to our boss. We have three hours to find secretary Eva or you know the consequence already."

They all moved quickly and looked for secretary Eva from every nook and cranny of the building. One man was stationed at the monitoring room to find her last location and relay it to the other men.

"Oh my gosh! This couldn't be." Winter walked to Jillyanna and tried comforting her.

"Don't touch me." her bone-chilling cold voice stopped Winter from rubbing her back. Her eyes held no warmth and it looked dull and lifeless.

Using her own phone, she contacted someone under their full observation. They wanted to comfort her but they felt a huge wall stopping them from taking a step. The woman in front of them wasn't the Jillyanna they knew.

Lucian had seen this expression though. It was when he found her preparing herself to assassinate someone. "Jillyanna! I am telling you to stop it." Lucian yelled at his sister-in-law.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" Jillyanna raised her chin and was looking down at all of them. "You can't even do anything for him." She turned to her phone and just in time for someone to pick up her call. "Deal with him as soon as possible. I sent you the details a long time ago. When you're done, bring him over to Lucian."

If she didn't have Travis to protect, she would just kill everyone and get herself jailed but she won't. She want to live a good life with him.
