"Sofia, you are so young! And I meant that as a compliment!" Mr. Feng cast a bright smile and expressed his opinion while the three of them stepped inside the establishment.

He did not know if he would feel wary or if he would be proud of this girl's courage to negotiate with him. All he was certain of was that their negotiation over the phone was a matter of fact, a one-sided deal. Sofia laid everything and she found her offer very reasonable. Thus, he quickly wanted to sell his property.

"Thank you for the compliment, Mr. Feng. I just have some aspirations in the commercial market. So, I want to open a business," Sofia humbly replied.

"You are a gamer, it's what you mentioned over the phone, right? Do you plan to make this building a gaming hub?" Mr. Feng curiously inquired.

"No, it's not a gaming facility. You will see once we start to operate," Sofia smiled at him.

'This girl is too cautious! She did not even reveal her plans for my property. What a rare attitude!' Mr. Feng mentally said while staring at Sofia.

In a distance, a man was already waiting for their arrival. This man's attire was similar to the private investigator that Brent spoke to, he was wearing an expensive black business suit.

An earphone was plugged into his ears and a piece of rock music covered his sense of hearing. His attention was on the piles of papers on the table and he did not notice that the three people were approaching him.

"Atty. Will, here are the buyers of my property," the owner loudly introduced Jing Jing and Sofia in a formal tone.

The man looked up and removed the earphones on his ear. He then gave them an apologetic smile.

"Great to finally meet you," the lawyer stood from his seat and bowed respectfully at the two ladies. His gaze stayed at Jing Jing for a few seconds before a returned to his seat.

"Please have a seat, young ladies," the owner gestured to the two empty chairs Sofia and Jing Jing.

"Thank you. Let's get started," Sofia and Jing Jing replied and sat properly.

"Ehem! Yes, let's start," Mr. Feng signaled to his lawyer and the man nodded his head in understanding.

"Here are the documents for the deed of sale for both building and land. If you are satisfied, you can sign both your names on the next page," the lawyer of Mr. Feng handed a folder to Sofia and Jing Jing. He only came to finalize the transactions. As for the negotiations, it was the owner who arranged everything.

"That is what we have discussed over the phone," Mr. Feng told Sofia.

Sofia nodded her head. She then slowly opened the file and read the contents of the contract.

This time, it was the lawyer that was surprised to see her reading the document with a solemn expression on her face.

He did not bother to conceal his curiosity and continued to look in Sofia's direction.

"This young lady, can she understand the contract of our deed of sale?" the lawyer whispered to Mr. Feng. It was not that he looked down on Sofia's ability to comprehend the contents. He was just worried that she was too naive and was reading carelessly the files that he prepared.

"I was also surprised to see her so young in person. But, this girl was the one who contacted me yesterday. So, the contents of this document were of course negotiated by her," Mr. Feng responded in a low voice.

"Mr. Feng, are you sure that you negotiated the details of the deed of sale with her? Where is her lawyer? Which family does she belong to?" the lawyer could not help but simultaneously asked several questions in a very low tone.

"I already told her about needing a lawyer. And this young girl is actually cautious than I am. I asked her about the plans in the building, but she did not reveal," Mr. Feng responded.

"I see. Now, I'm curious which family does she come from," the lawyer mumbled.

Jing Jing only took a glance at the contract but Sofia examined every paragraph. After she was satisfied with the content, she easily signed the documents.

Sofia signed the bottom portion and also the side of every page. Then, she pushed back the folder towards the lawyer.

"Here is the money. We will transfer the full amount," Jing Jing stated. She then opened the mobile application of the bank and process the transfer of funds.

"Mr. Feng, it seems that the young girl is not a first-timer," the lawyer chuckled and showed Sofia's signature. Normally, they would need to ask the clients to sign the side portion of every document too after signing at the bottom. It was their usual practice for this type of contract to ensure that signatures were not forged.

Sofia heard his remarks and only gave him a formal smile. "I'm not that young. In a few days, I can sign a contract alone. And I've got few experiences, attorney."

"Hehe, that's impressive! Very Impressive!" the lawyer murmured his praises while tucking in their copy of the documents.

"Young Miss, the place is yours now. Good luck with your endeavors," Mr. Feng spoked and handed all the keys to the establishments.

"Thank you, Mr. Feng." Sofia calmly accepted all the keys dangling on the man's hand.

The lawyer took the initiative to extend his hand for a handshake. Sofia accepted and their transaction was complete.

After some time, Mr. Feng and his lawyer left but Jing Jing and Sofia stayed inside the building. They surveyed every corner of the place.

"Mr. Feng was generous enough to leave all his appliances here," Sofia mentioned while glancing around.

"Miss Sofia, do you need help to recruit people?" Jing Jing asked.

"If sister Jing can help me, I need a few people for the housekeeping job. There are already employees that I hired for the dining and security," Sofia admitted.

"Okay. Leave it to me, I will find good employees. By the way, have your endorsements started shooting?" Jing Jing inquired.

"From which endorsement, sister Jing?" Sofia curiously asked.

"Ohh, so, it's not yet finalized. There was a company of swimwear that offered a good budget. I've seen it before I was fired by boss Wang. Maybe Ms. Yen would contact you today about it," Jing Jing commented.

"We won't endorse swimwear products," Sofia coldly stated.

"Why not?" Jing Jing questioned.

"Sister Jing, beauty figure is very subjective. While others agree with our looks, there are also people who would criticize us. Criticisms towards personal flaws is not good. I am not against this kind of flashy products. There is nothing wrong with modeling too. But, in my opinion, this is not the right time for my squad members to capitalize on our physical appearance just to gain money or publicity. I have ways to earn more," Sofia answered.

"But, the company might not give you a choice. After all, you signed the exclusive contract?" Jing Jing reminded Sofia of the arrangement that they once agreed.

"Hehe, I made sure that I have something to say, sister Jing. And they should honor the decision of my squad. There is a clause in the contract that we signed before," Sofia smiled confidently. She then brushed her hair gently as they headed to the exit door of the building.

"There is a clause in the contract? What clause was it? Let me see," Jing Jing spoke and switched on her phone. She still had the soft copy of their very first contract that was signed before the tournament.

Jing Jing scrolled down and searched for the contract. After few breaths, she finally saw the file.

Sofia peered at the screen of her phone and she pointed the clause. "Here. Sister Jing, this is stipulated in the exclusive press contract. The squad leader's decision must be taken into account for the greater interest of the members of the Chronos squad."

"Oh, that's good," Jing Jing subconsciously spoke.

"Hmmn, it is so-so. I made sure to place those conditions before," Sofia grinned.

"People may assume that they can trick you because of your age. But they are just actually seven steps behind you," Jing Jing snickered.

"Sister Jing, that is exaggerated. I'm not that advanced! I just think that it is important to place the terms so that my squad won't be exploited. It's for the security of our public identity," Sofia said in a modest tone.

"I am worried that they will force you to endorse other companies with bad reputations. But now, I guess, you already had a prior idea of how the corporate world works," Jing Jing stated.

"There are four futures that I am leading, sister Jing. If I don't protect our image, our future might become messy," Sofia answered while the image of the four members of the Chronos squad appeared in her mind.

"I wish you get all your goals," Jing Jing whispered.. They soon locked the place and started walking to the parking space.
