"Son, your mother and I are so happy! You have finally put our words to your heart! AHAHA, I can't contain my happiness!" his father spoke while clapping his hand out of joy.

"That's right! Son, we must celebrate! Ah! But why is this so sudden? I did not know that you are fascinated with any girl in this district," his mother slightly pouted. "Nevertheless, this is a happy occasion!" she continued before Brent could respond to her.

"Ma, Pa, please act properly. What are you two jumping around? Aren't you gonna ask me which family the lady is?" Brent asked his parents. He slightly glowered while gazing at the two elders.

"Hahaha, my most awesome son and the best man in the entire world had finally picked a lady to be his wife. No matter which family she comes from, we will accept her," his father beamed with full of excitement in his eyes. His mother continuously nodded her head in agreement.

"We must call your sister and tell her to come home. Which country is she right now? Our family must be complete to share this good news!" his mother suggested.

"Ma, I've already told my sister of all this. Anyway, if you don't want to know anything about the lady, I'll simply tell you. She is the mayor's daughter," Brent brought it up and carefully watched as the expression of his parents drastically changed.

The moment the two elders heard him, their excitement abruptly stopped. The face of his father turned serious and the jubilant atmosphere of their mansion instantly dropped.

"Are you sure about her? You want to get involved with politics, son?" his father questioned.

Brent scratched his head and went to his parent's side. He took a deep breath and then rubbed both of their back. He slightly shrugged and gave them a thoughtful look. "I don't want to involve our family with the dirty games in politics. But, I can't help it."

"If you can't help it, then, that must really be true love," his mother quickly assumed.

Brent blankly stared at his mother about her notion. He had not even spoken the details yet his mother already called his feelings 'True love!'

"But--- our mayor's daughter is a fine lady too in terms of appearance and beauty. Still, be careful of her. She might just use our family status for her personal gains," his mother continued seeing that her son became silent.

Most businessmen in district 7 had curry favor for their politicians to gain mutual benefits. But for the Lee family, it was the other way around. Politicians tried to butter them up to seek their support. However, all they care about was their business and they never showed interest in politics.

It was because the influence of their Lee family was far beyond politics. To say, they don't demand support from the government for it was the government that needed them.

"Nothing really comes good from a rotten tree. Politics and corruption. Son, we never questioned your decisions. But, the matter of tying our family to politics... it may cause harm to you?" his father expressed worriedly.

"I have it under my control, Pa. Don't worry," Brent assured them.

"Okay, I know you are capable. Then, so be it. We will support you. We cannot bear to break your true feelings," his mother forced a smile before the two left their son.

Brent gazed at their figures until they completely went to the dining hall. A small smile curled on his face thinking that his parents were easily convinced.

After a while, he sat back on the couch and composed a message on his laptop.

His hands lazily typed on the keyboard, pressing the keys unhurriedly.

"I'm getting married. Your squad is invited."

The two sentences were easily composed before he sent them without reading again towards Sofia.

'I never thought that the heir of the Ching family is that boy in Sofia's squad,' he mentally wondered as the image of Stephen came into his mind.

The response of Sofia was also prompt.

Sofia: Best Wishes! When is the wedding date?

Brent: Not curious who the bride is?

Sofia: I know her, my friend Grace.

Brent chuckled and felt at loss after reading the last response from Sofia. If he was known to have a decisive and relentless character, Sofia was direct and straightforward.

Now that Sofia did not feign ignorance about the matter, there was no room for him to confront him. At the back of his mind, he wished that Sofia would really ask about the bride. In that way, he could at least get angry and be mad for bringing Grace to the lunch yesterday.

Brent decided to stop thinking about Sofia's involvement and started making arrangements for his plans later.

Meanwhile, Sofia was with Jing Jing at that time when she received Brent's message. Jing Jing was driving her car and they were settled in comfortable silence. The two of them were going to the intersection road to meet the owner of the establishment.

"Miss Sofia, you look happy," Jing Jing commented when she caught Sofia grinning in front of her phone. The brightness of her expression was too dazzling to ignore.

"Sister Jing, everything is going well. I am happy. Thank you for your help and I appreciate you working for us," Sofia responded brightly.

"That's good to hear. Boss Ma already transferred the money to the bank account. I also informed him that I will be working with your squad now," Jing Jing notified.

"He already fired you in his company. There is no need for you to notify him of your future plans, sister Jing," Sofia commented.

"I know. But, I really treated them as my family now. yesterday, I heard that Boss Ma invested millions in that business that I mentioned to you before, He was hoping to profit big next month. But, when I told my colleagues that the business was a scam, Boss Ma was really pissed at me," Jing Jing explained.

"It's a scam. Whether he is angry at you for telling it in advance or not, he will find out the result of his investment soon. Trust me, this kind of business only capitalized the investment from the people who enrolled on them. But, they have no product at all. That alone is already worth questioning," Sofia murmured while gazing at the street ahead of them.

"I trust you. I'm not sure why, but, I do," Jing Jing smiled at Sofia.

Sofia's heart tugged and she felt completely moved. In the past, Jing Jing would also give her this kind of encouragement whenever she engaged in a new venture.

"Time will unveil the truth about this kind of business that they engaged, sister Jing. Just wait for it," Sofia softly responded.

"Mmmn, here we are," Jing Jing spoke and stopped the engined of her car.

The two swiftly moved out of the vehicle and strode towards the closed establishment.

"Last time I came here, the walls are not pretty much vandalized," Sofia commented while her line of vision went straight to the graffiti that was on the wall of the building.

"This location is actually troublesome. I can't believe you will pick this building. Are you sure you want to start a business here?" Jing Jing voiced out her hesitation as her eyes wandered all over the establishment. Since her former job was to broadcast events of their district, she was also well-informed about how bad the environment of the area was.

"Sister Jing, this place is suitable," Sofia firmly replied.

While the two stood in front of the building, the owner quickly stepped out to greet them.

"Hello, young ladies! Oh, it's this lady Jing Jing! Hello, Hello!" the man spoke with excitement and familiarity. Jing Jing slightly bowed her head to recognize the man's greetings.

"You must be the buyer of my property?" the owner glanced at Sofia with a surprised expression on his face.

"Yes, it's me that contacted you yesterday, Mr. Feng," Sofia confirmed.

The man gave a subtle look at her overall attire before leading them inside the building. Sofia had contacted him about her intent to buy his building, but he did not expect that he was dealing with a teenager. Hence, no matter how he wanted to pretend his composure, he could not hide the surprised expression on his face.

"My lawyers are inside. We can finalize the transaction now. But, do you have your lawyers to represent your side?" the man questioned.

"Sister Jing Jing is an adult that will represent me to finalize our transaction, Mr. Feng. I have no lawyer," Sofia stated.

"Young miss, it's fine for this transaction. But, in the future, please don't be reckless. Matters like this must be examined by a lawyer so that you will not be tricked. In this world, too many people sort for deception in order to gain money," the man stated in a serious tone.

Sofia understood his sympathy and did not refute it. "Thank you, Mr. Feng.. I will keep your advice in mind."
