Chapter 97 - Championship (15)

Name:Ceo Unrivaled Author:inflict
"That's 2800+ worth of physical damage! Ahh! Absolutely one of the highest damage I have ever seen in my entire life!" the younger commentator exclaimed in excitement as his eyes twinkled looking at the screen.

The man slightly seemed dazed after watching the Chronos assassin displayed its ultimate upon Brent's marksman.

He dramatically shook his head few times just to clear his thoughts. It was an overwhelming show of damage that he had inwardly suspected if his eyes had really seen the real numbers.

Even the audience were all stunned and became speechless after seeing the almost 3000 physical damage from the assassin.

After some time, they started to murmur all their opinions on the scene.

"That's just a broken assassin right there!"

"Is it a cheat? How did she acquire that kind of damage?"

"Is it really impossible to reach that damage? Wow!"

To say, ultimate skill stored a great percentage of damage among all other skills of a character but most of the digits would only be around 1500+ and mostly it would reach 2000+.

It's not because players that were adept tp the assassin role could reach higher than it but because, usually, the match would already be decided when this amount of damage appears.

So, whether in a pro tournament or regular match, it is not usual to see what Claire's assassin's damage produced.

"I've seen it too! That's extremely overpowered!" the older commentator confirmed.

"Good thing you have confirmed because for a while I thought I was just hallucinating!" the younger commentator quickly replied.

Like every other virtual game, the character's damage was displayed on the screen but it was too rare for the spectators to talk about the actual digit of damage because most of the numbers shown were too common to see. It was not worth mentioning and does not really catch much attention. But, for Claire's assassin dealing the high physical damage, the digits were more than worthy to be mentioned.

"The items in the inventory of this assassin are all killer blades! This assassin is fully buffed too! No wonder, she had pulled out such a high number of damage! This is so hard to be countered!" the older commentator quickly pointed out the reason why the physical damage of Claire's character was abnormally high.

Killer blades were items that give extra true damage in every skill. The extra damage would be added on a percentage scale. Hence, the entire damage would soar high once the extra damage would be triggered by the character. And the easiest way to trigger it was to use the ultimate.

"Man, that ultimate is enough to singlehandedly kill errr, maybe three opponents in one go! Yes, I think with this damage, the assassin can easily assassinate a mage, marksman, and full support!" the younger commentator chirped his guess as he looked towards the movement of the players.

On the map, Clarks' mage was the first to face the other two surviving enemies. After it was positioned to reach the range of the enemy, he quickly clicked his skills button without even thinking of any solid combo attack.

Clark did not need to hold back for his cool down reduction could supply him almost unlimited skills. He easily cast his second skill and stunned both two opponents.

As the movement of the two players from the Lee Gaming Squad was fully suspended by the mage's second skill, Claire easily caught up and delivered her assassin's passive skill effect, giving them a chain stun.

The two opponents were immobilized and silenced on the spot.

This was the same strategy that they did to Clark's mage earlier that caused its death.

Seeing the two enemies unable to move, Clark grinned from ear to ear. He felt very contented and his anxiety had fully vanished.

"I have no more ultimate, Clark. I'm sure yours are already available?" Claire mentioned reminding Clark that she had utilized her ultimate earlier with the marksman opponent.

This may sound not important but it was necessary for Claire to remind the man as he may assume that the assassin can follow up few attacks. It was no longer possible. The assassin's damage was high and so was the cool down of the skill. Claire needed to wait for another minute for his ultimate to be ready.

Clark had not yet perfected his coordination with them. He was still developing his skills in quick decision-making, thus, the only solution for this gap is for his teammates to tell him what would be the most ideal thing he had to do.

"Yes, yes! I'll finish them!" Clark murmured and then produce a bright smile on his face. Finally, he could finish the opponent that cornered him earlier!

Not long after, Clark's ultimate fell down upon them and hit perfectly at the two opponents. With its large area of effect, even if the two wanted to escape after the stunning effect cool down, they were still covered by Clark's attack killing them both.

"Good, good!" Claire smiled on her screen as she praised Clark's double kill.

Their teamwork resulted in the entire Lee Gaming Squad being wiped out. Such opportunity to push for two towers had been presented to them and they quickly proceed to move towards the initial tower defense of their opponent.

"That's a smooth kill from the mage," the older commentator nodded his head repeatedly.

"A smooth revenge kill? He was cornered earlier," the younger commentator also brought up the earlier situation of Clark.

The duo quickly attacked the tower and destroyed it. Another wave of creeps spawned to block them from attacking the next tower but it did not do much. They easily cleared the opponent's creeps and destroyed the second tower.

After minutes had passed all of the players had respawned and they became more serious. It was already considered a late-game and they have reached the maximum level of their characters.

The Lee Gaming squad understood the danger of the situation for their group, hence, all of them remained near the base. They had to defend otherwise, it would be over.

Series of retreat signals from their teammates were also conveyed on their notification panel.

"Young master Brent, do you have other plans?" William asked while maintaining his focus on the mobile screen.

"We can split push later. Let's clear the creeps and then you and me.... let's take their top lane. Then, the three can defend in case the Chronos squad would attack our base. No matter what, protect this final defense tower or they would be able to summon the mega creeps," Brent swiftly spoke all his plans to his teammates.

The four players instantly understood the positions they would be taking. Now, all they need to do was to follow the instructions.

The Chronos squad performed a grand rally on the bottom lane. This time, their faces were all serious.

Sofia's tank was leading the group in the front line. CEO UNRIVALED was situated in the middle walking mightily with its heavy armor. This character was full tank build.

"Push! Once I enter the tower, be sure to use all your damage and don't hold back," Sofia stated. Because her character was already full build, she decided to play aggressively against the Lee Gaming squad.

With Sofia's order, the four other members quickly knew that they would be diving into the opponent's tower if it would be necessary. On top of it, they had to deal with all the damage they could produce.

The Chronos marksman, Dangerous Predator, was sprinting on the right side of CEO UNRIVALED. Stephen had been opening his item shop and reading the descriptions from time to time. Then he easily sold some of his items and replaced them with defensive items. He replaced two items with armor and a shield.

In this way, he would be able to sustain some of the damages from the Lee Gaming squad.

At the back were Joey's support - Lethal Prey and Clark's character - Amateur Mage. These two would be the primary characters that would be supporting the entire squad.

"Should I get a shield?" Joey suddenly asked. His role was a healer and he knew that even if he could supply HP for his teammates, his own defense was actually very weak.

"No need! Just focus on healing us if ur HP would become critical. Follow my HP bar, I'll make sure that no one from the Lee Gaming squad would be able to reach your side," Sofia answered confidently.

Upon hearing this assurance from Sofia, Joey and Clark looked at each other and then at Sofia's figure sitting on her side in a bit. They really left their attention on their screen as they were moved by what she just said.

Sofia poured all her attention to her mobile phone but the burning gaze of her two teammates was too intense.

"You better focus on your characters and gameplay! Don't let your eyes stray away from the battlefield!" she sternly stated and the two members quickly returned their attention to the game.
