Chapter 280 - Revealing The Strategy

"You just love bossing around your squad members, do you?" DEATH stated in a condescending tone while tapping his fingers in the box of tea.

"I'm not bossing them. I plan to go and stream too. You are just disturbing my plan by coming here," WINS returned in a domineering manner.

DEATH sighed and his expression turned serious. "Do you realize what you have said in the training room? Do you want my team to target the tank user of the Chronos squad? It would be the most embarrassing gameplay in the history of my career if I follow that advice! Are you deliberately sabotaging me, WINS?"

"Why would I sabotage you? Tsk! I just said that the gameplay of the Chronos squad is centralized in CEO UNRIVALED. If you don't believe me, then, I won't force you!" WINS shrugged. He leaned his back comfortably and crossed his arms around his chest.

"That's right! You said to target CEO UNRIVALED first and we can eliminate all her members. So, if you think it is a practical way, how many skills and opportunities should we waste to even kill a tank?! Isn't that direct sabotage?" DEATH gritted his teeth and glared at him.

"My gosh! I remember only saying that targeting a tank on the battlefield is really difficult. I did not say that you should target a tank! Are you stupid to target a tank? And you still don't have a strategy in your head? Has your perception level become so low?" WINS chuckled. A flash of playfulness came into his mind.

"Ahhh... feel free to throw insults at me. I won't fight back. But, I'm really not getting your hints! Just tell me directly how to deal with them!" DEATH demanded in a desperate tone.

WINS shook his head and uncrossed his arms. He stretched his body and legs then yawned. "Boring. Talking to you right now is already a loss for me. I could have gained many gifts from my fans if I streamed. You better compensate me with your normal account!"

"You are on purpose! You really want to insult me," DEATH coldly said. Both of his hands clasped in the box of tea tightly that the box was almost deformed. He was losing his temper.

"Hehe," WINS looked at him in the eye and stared at the box of tea that was almost destroyed. "Don't damage that box. That tea is expensive! If it spills in my floor, you will pay monetary value for it! CASH!"

DEATH quickly released the box and took a deep breath. He did not want to argue with WINS as it was very inappropriate. He needed the help and not the other end. But the man was deliberately provoking him! He could only swallow all the things that he wanted to talk back.

"Alright, alright! DEATH, calm down first and focus on my lecture," WINS said and turned serious too. "What I said earlier, isn't it that you have to disable CEO UNRIVALED? I was not saying you have to target a tank."

"So? You are making this so complicated!" DEATH exclaimed and almost pulled his hair in frustration.

"My gosh! I can't believe that I need to spell everything for you! Think DEATH, think! How can you disable CEO UNRIVALED? You should focus on that," WINS calmly urged him.

"Then, how to disable CEO UNRIVALED? I wouldn't be here if I know!" DEATH responded impatiently.

"Bro, you really don't know?" WINS playfully sighed. He also raised his eyebrows several times.

"That is making me angry. Come on, just spill it," DEATH run his fingers to his hair just so he could remain calm.

"You know, I was actually expecting that you already have the strategy of how to deal with the Chronos squad. I'm basically spoon-feeding here. But, seeing that you are still lost, I will give you another hint. What is the newest feature of the game that will be applied in the regional tournament?"

"The newest feature in the game..." DEATH mumbled. Then after a few seconds, his eyes constricted and understanding flashed in his face. "HAHAHA... I have... my goodness, I am so... HAHAHA" DEATH suddenly laughed with an incomprehensible statement. His face glowed in joy.

"Well, it seems that you have left your brain in your villa," WINS offered him a friendly smile.

"That strategy, I finally understand. How can I not think of it earlier?" DEATH gave him a sheepish grin. 

"As I said, it was only you who was having the idiotic idea of targeting a tank first. I merely told you to disable CEO UNRIVALED. Given that there is a ban feature now. Then, utilize it. Ban her tank and force her to use a different character. Then, you can devise a rotation that will corner her in the map," WINS expressed the strategy.

"Yes, I got it now. I just overlooked the new feature," DEATH exhaled. "But, I don't understand... Since you have thought of this strategy, why did you refuse to join the tournament? You even requested to the club to delegate my squad."

WINS only smiled. He reached for a teacup and teapot. Then, he poured himself a drink. "I don't want to be their opponent. My squad will definitely attend that tournament as audience. But, I will not cheer for your Slayer_Gods squad. I will discreetly cheer for the Chronos squad. Hahaha..."

"Bah! You just want to use my squad to protect your perfect image! In case this Chronos squad will defeat you, the club will definitely blame you for the loss," DEATH said with a visible disappointment in his voice.

"What makes you think that I need to use your squad to protect my image? Since when did I do that?" WINS clicked his tongue and crossed his legs. He stared at DEATH with a challenging look.

"What else could be your reason other than protecting your image? You said it was to avoid conflict of interest," DEATH answered with the same look as him.

"It's true that I want to avoid conflict of interest. I was actually trying to recruit CEO UNRIVALED and her members so we can play side by side. They have no club yet. Our club will definitely give them a contract. But, she refused my invitation and said she is still a student and doesn't want to stop her studies because of club requirements," WINS explained.

"Wow! She refused money? Signing a contract to the club that handled us is one of the greatest luck a gamer could have. Unless they are like that Lee Gaming squad that was composed of insanely rich teens! Then, they won't really need a club. Did you tell her our salary and benefits?" DEATH expressed in full of disbelief.

"I did not disclose the exact information. That's classified data. But, I told her that her team will really have extreme convenience and funds. Sponsorships and endorsements are too easy to get," WINS stated.

"And she refused? I am now so curious about this CEO UNRIVALED! How did she refuse?" DEATH commented with a glint of enthusiasm in his eyes.

"Well, she actually gave me a reasonable explanation. She said that the Chronos squad is not just a team to her. Her members were also like her family. So, she wished to play with them together. But---" WINS paused and felt a little melancholic.

"But what?" DEATH asked.

"I don't want to tell you. I felt like betraying her if I said it," WINS softly replied. He was about to say that Sofia had told him that Clark, their mage user is not that skillful yet. If they join a club, most likely, Clark will be left behind. She did not want that to happen.

"Then, I won't force you to say it. I'm glad you could find someone that you want to connect with. You're not in love with CEO UNRIVALED, right?" DEATH chuckled.

"Nonsense! I admire her leadership and decisive character. She is young but very capable! I am not thinking of her in a romantic way," WINS rolled his eyes and shook his head. He then drank his entire tea and stood straight. "It's getting late. I need to stream. Go back to your villa and focus on your strategy." he added and move his hand to gesture the door to DEATH.

"Then, thank you for allowing me to disturb you. I really appreciate this conversation. Everything is clear to me now. I can finally train my members," DEATH replied and picked the box of tea.

"Actually, I still have to remind you. DEATH, don't underestimate the Chronos squad. Instruct your members not to be complacent if ever you meet them in the match. Unless you destroy their base, there is still a great tendency of a comeback. Since I have thought of this strategy, CEO UNRIVALED might have already something up in her sleeves to counter her squad's weakness," WINS concluded.

"I will practice now. Sorry to trouble you," DEATH stated.

"I won't see you out. I have to stream now.. Kindly lock the door after you leave," WINS requested.
