Chapter 23 - 23: January and February, 2100

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye and the new year has begun, it's now 2100 and 23 years have officially passed since the bombs dropped.

In the half a month that passed I have gotten a whole lot more books and even began recruiting some ȧduŀts and adopting some children into our...tribe if you will.

The Adults that were chosen were altruistic, nice, and trusting, rare traits in this post-apocalyptic land.

As for the children that we adopted into the tribe, we chose mainly the orphaned.

All of our new residents have taken up residency on the Mountain in the Ski Resort.

And speaking of the mountain, quite a few of the trees have grown to their mȧturė stage in life before they returned to the growth of a regular tree.

Other than that, to secure the children's safety, I even went as far as to infect all of the animals on the mountain with spores that would react just in case they decided to try and harm the children or any of my other inhabitants.

...

A week passed as the new residents tried getting used to the mountain and their new lush environment filled with fresh air and no radiation.

They found it difficult to adjust to this completely different environment they found themselves in.

All of the Adults that I have recruited were bȧrėly in their 20s, meaning they were either born just before the war and cannot even remember the bombs dropping, or they were born just after the bombs dropped.

Only those over the age of 25 in Vegas still remember the 'Old World' and its beauty before they all ruined the land around them.

...

Two weeks passed and February came rolling in, we have just begun selling Punga Fruit and fresh wood to vegas and have been making a killing.

A fruit that could provide nutrients, heal and remove radiation is a godsend in this world, and we were selling large quantities of it which were selling out quickly.

Other than that, all of my chosen Rangers have finally reached their destinations besides Chris who reached his location a while ago and set up the Yosemite Valley, northeast of Mariposa Military Base.

I had Vale set up in the nice spot that would be where Harold and Oasis settled in the future which was a hidden valley that only had a single entrance in the northern part of the Capital Wasteland.

And with Elijah who was in the Commonwealth, I had him settle the colony in Sanctuary, the pre-war home of the Sole Survivor and the first place the sole survivor will see when he awakes.

And I may or may not want to prevent the deaths of all of the others in the vault who died due to mechanical issues after the whole frozen Vault woke due to the institute's objective in kidnapping Shaun.

On one hand, Shaun who eventually becomes the leader of the institute and called 'Father' will make the institute much easier to cooperate with, but on the other hand, if I do let the institute take Shaun, his father or mother who wakes up will not be all that happy with me, I have no idea what would happen if I prevented all of this from happening though.

I will just decide when the time comes, it's best not to dwell on the future that's literally centuries away.

And finally, I also leveled up to level 9.

I got a new skill and even more plants.

The new skill I got was called Insect Creation which would allow me to start building up the ecosystem from the ground up, I had plants and herbivore/carnivore animals, but no insects which only damaged the ecosystem further.

Well, there are still some insects left in the world but they have been horribly mutated, for example, the disgusting bloat flies which mutated to become giant bugs that shits out a disgusting projectile that melts flesh.

There are normal flies and bugs still left in the world, but they are few and far with those still remaining being heavily mutated...

So, gaining this skill was great seeing as I could restore the world's ecosystem once I get primary consumers, secondary consumers, and tertiary consumers.

Now onto the plants.

The rest was just basic Bushes and Shrubbery.
