Chapter 254 - Han Qingshan Was A Devil

The rest of Jiang Yingyue and Han Qingshan's vacation went smoothly. Lin Xiao had no time to deal with them, as he was busy hiding all tracks of his shady transactions.

These days were making Jiang Yingyue the happiest, and when they finally returned to the Capital, she was so at peace with all that had happened.

Time flowed like water, and after a short while, it was time for the university entrance exams once more.

Jiang Yingyue still wanted to go to Imperial University, and she was spending all her time focusing on the exam. This was her ticket to a much better life; she was eager to do her very best.

Han Qingshan was not making her work for him at this point. He knew she had saved up enough money to provide for herself until she began university again, and he let her focus on studying.

Jiang Yingyue had not to spent another thought on Lin Xiao, but Han Qingshan's eyes gleamed with darkness whenever he thought back on the man who wanted to make her into a trophy.

Although he had battled Zhou Yan for Jiang Yingyue's love, he knew that this was different. Zhou Yan valued Jiang Yingyue for who she was; this man just wanted her to be an obedient doll.

Hence he was filled with disgust towards the young man.

Hei Yi had done as he was told, he was dealing with Lin Xiao expertly. Every time he was just on the verge of turning the situation around to benefit himself, a new piece of information was shared, and soon everyone knew that the shady deals that he had undertaken were not few.

However, no one had the actual proof in their hands, so he still held some freedom.

Finally, Han Qingshan wished to send him the final blow, and he made Hei Yi send a message to him.

Lin Xiao was seated at home, wondering what options he had if he wanted to turn the situation around. Still, before he thought out some intelligent strategies, he suddenly heard the doorbell ring.

Frowning, he rose to his feet. Outside was a courier and in his hands was a small box. "Mr. Lin, please sign," the man said, and Lin Xiao, who was very perplexed, signed and took the package with him inside.

As he opened the package, he found it was a cell phone. It was turned on, and there was no screen lock.

Moments after he had picked it up, it started ringing. The melody was out of a horror movie, and everything was making Lin Xiao feel immensely uncomfortable. Was this some sort of sick prank?

Still, curiosity kills the cat, Lin Xiao picked up the phone, and a sinister voice sounded on the other end.

"In your next life, do not get close to Jiang Yingyue nor Han Qingshan!"

The voice said nothing else, but the sound of the disconnected phone still rung in Lin Xiao's mind.

Jiang Yingyue and... Han Qingshan?

Lin Xiao was a well-known figure in the political scene, and he had big hopes of going to the Capital one day to make a name for himself. He knew of all the heavyweights within the Capital, and Han Qingshan was definitely one of them.

But was this the same Han Qingshan? Lin Xiao tried to convince himself that it was not, but upon thinking about his current situation, he knew that it was.

Someone able to cause his career to deteriorate at such a fast speed. Spread rumors about him like this without anyone knowing where they originated from. To hold all the proof against him, but only releasing little by little in order to drive him insane - who else other than Han Qingshan held this power?

He suddenly went to his laptop and searched for pictures of Han Qingshan, and there he saw the face that he had seen together with Jiang Yingyue. It was clear that the poor and useless bum that he had looked down upon before was actually Han Qingshan.

How laughable this was!

He could not help but hold back a laugh, but soon his eyes dimmed. He did not know what course of action he should take from here on out. Should he leave the country? As long as he did not end in jail, he would have a chance of getting back at them later!

However, Han Qingshan was a meticulous person. The moment he had started thinking about his options, a knock was heard on the door. Thinking that it was a new message from Han Qingshan, he hurried to open it, only to find a group of policemen outside.

"Mr. Lin, you will have to come with us to the police station," the captain of the team said. His face was stoic, and his eyes sharp.

"Why so?" Lin Xiao was feeling despair, but the captain of the police force did not answer and gestured for him to follow.

Sighing deeply, Lin Xiao walked out, his head was held high, but on the inside he was in deep despair. He was not going to be able to get out of it this time.

Han Qingshan was not a sunshine boy as he claimed to be; he was dark and ruthless!

Just because he had taken a fancy to the same woman, he had destroyed his life! This was simply a new level of evilness to Lin Xiao.

Although he had done many illegal things throughout the years, he had never endangered anyone, but Han Qingshan gave one order, and hence destroyed his life.. This was indeed the difference in how they looked at other's lives.
