Chapter 216 - A Real Man

As soon as the conversation finished, Han Qingshan and Zhou Yan went their separate ways. Han Qingshan went into the building and took the elevator up to the condo.

Here, he found Jiang Yingyue just coming out of the bathroom, her hair was damp and her body wrapped in a fuzzy bathrobe.

Seeing her like this, Han Qingshan smiled gently. He felt his heart softening. But a bit of coldness flashed across his eyes, as he was thinking about Miss Mu and her intention of attacking Jiang Yingyue.

"Go to sleep early," Han Qingshan said as he gently rubbed Jiang Yingyue's head with affection. "I have a few things I need to solve. I will come to join you later."

Jiang Yingyue was tired, and she nodded her head. She quickly went to prepare some food for the following morning, before she slowly walked into the bedroom.

She was unaware of what Han Qingshan was going to do, but she was of the impression that he just had some urgent work that needed doing.

Han Qingshan went to the study and sat down. He was not in a rush to do anything. Instead, he just thought for a bit. After a deep sigh, he took out his phone, and he dialed his father's number.

"Qingshan?" The voice of Han Liqiang sounded on the other end of the phone. He was surprised by the late call from his son, and when Han Qingshan did not answer right away, he could sense that something was off.

"What is wrong, my son?" He asked with a tint of worry in his voice.

"Yingyue is in danger," Han Qingshan finally managed to say. His body was taut whenever he thought about who it was that had started moving against his woman.

"In danger?" Han Liqiang's voice was dangerously low, shocking Han Qingshan slightly. He knew his father well; if he was talking like this, then someone was going to be in danger.

"She is a childhood friend of Zhou Yan of the Zhou Family," Han Qingshan decided to explain what was going on. "Zhou Yan is in love with her, but she only sees him as a friend. Unfortunately, the Mu family and the Zhou family have considered a marriage alliance. However, they forgot to ask Zhou Yan's permission.

"He declined, but Miss Mu already thinks that they are engaged. When she found out that he had declined marriage with her, she was filled with hatred towards the woman who had stolen his man away, and she put all the blame on Yingyue.

"I talked with him just now, and we decided on working together to put pressure on the Mu family. We are not aiming to decimate them, but we want Miss Mu to never again have any thoughts on Jiang Yingyue."

Han Liqiang was quiet for a long time. The silence on the phone was slightly oppressive before he sneered, "why doesn't that Zhou Yan just marry her? How can he possibly endanger our daughter-in-law?!"

Hearing the anger in Han Liqiang's voice, Han Qingshan was feeling much better, but he was also slightly amused by his father's words.

"Even if Jingyue had picked another man than me, I would be single, waiting for her forever," he said gravely. "I understand Zhou Yan not wanting to marry anyone else than her, so although they are never going to be together, I can not tell him to marry someone else."

"I see," Han Liqiang was suddenly incredibly grateful that Jiang Yingyue had picked his son. If not, his family line would have ended up dying out.

"Zhou Yan has already said that he has the support of the old man from the Zhou Family to put up some pressure on the Mu family. I am planning on using the Han family to do the same. Although it is impossible for our families to go into an all-out war with the Mu's, we can still pressure the woman to stop her actions."

Han Liqiang was quiet for some time. "Are you sure that is enough?" he asked, his voice was cold and callous. "Son, I understand that you want to protect our company, but even more than that, Jiang Yingyue is your woman. She will have to be your priority. If you, as a man, cannot protect your woman, then what is the point of having such a magnificent family?

"The reason we have a family is so that we can protect one another. So, I would say that we are going to go into an all-out war with the Mu family, depending on whether or not the Zhou family will participate.

"We will never let any danger that threatens our women go!"

Han Qingshan was quiet for some time. His eyes were glistening with splendor and his lips curved upwards into a smile.

"I see," he said and felt as if a massive stone had fallen from his heart. "I will contact Zhou Yan, and together the two of us will plan out the solution for dealing with the Mu family."

"Do that; the Han family will use both visible and invisible powers to pressure them. If they fail, we can always take over their business so it can be considered a business deal as well."

Hearing this, Han Qingshan was stunned by his father's shamelessness. They were going to save Jiang Yngyue, but now it sounded like they were greedy for the Mu family's power.

"We will share the Mu family's market equally with the Zhou Family, if they are in," Han Liqiang continued, and Han Qingshan chuckled slightly. "Understood," he said.

Moments after he finished the conversation with his father he dialed up Zhou Yan's number.
