Chapter 139 - Madam He

"Shopping?" Jiang Yingyue was perplexed. She had a hard time following Yan Meilin's train of thought. But she also understood that there were many things she needed to buy in person, such as skin-care products and lingerie. Although Han Qingshan had bought some, it was simply too embarrassing to use it.

But currently, she did not have the money to buy these things. So far her skin had been fine, even with the minimum amount of maintenance, and Han Qingshan had already bought some lingerie for her, so she did not need to spend money on it.

Yan Meilin seemed to understand her thoughts, and her eyes grew tender. Jiang Yingyue was such a filial girl, and so humble. It was no wonder that her parents were so proud of her.

"Dear, you are my daughter-in-law," Yan Meilin sighed. "All that is mine will one day become yours, and all that is Han Qingshan's, will also become yours.

"Stop thinking about money, our Han family does not lack that little sum, so do this old woman a favor and come out shopping with me."

When Yan Meilin put it like this, it was impossible for Jiang Yingyue to say no, and thus she nodded her head, slightly embarrassed.

"Good girl!" Yan Meilin said with a grin on her face. She locked her arms together with Jiang Yingyue's, and like this, they went out of the mansion where a driver was waiting to take them to an upscale mall in the city center.

As they reached the mall, Yan Meilin stepped out from the car with Jiang Yingyue, and they started shopping. Jiang Yingyue had never been shopping much in the past, but now, when she saw how Yan Meilin shopped, she was stunned.

Yan Meilin entered a shop, and as soon as she saw something that she just remotely liked, she would ask the saleswoman to pack it up for her.

The first shop they entered was an accessory store. Here she packed up hairpins, ribbons, bows, jewelry, and anything else that she found stunning.

Eventually, she had to pay the bill, and the eyes of the saleswoman shone when she asked for the seven-hundred thousand yuan payment. She was shaking as she thought about her own commission for expediting such a massive scale. Even the entire counter was filled with goods.

Yan Meilin just withdrew a black card, swiped it as if it was nothing, and gave an address to the store.

"Deliver it here," she said, and the saleswoman quickly nodded her head. Although this was a high-end mall, it was rare to encounter such a big spender, especially one with a black card!

It was not rare for the shops to deliver the items for them, but Jiang Yingyue had heard the address, and she could not help but frown. The address was clearly Han Qingshan's, not her own.

"Madam Han," Jiang Yingyue was about to complain, but Yan Meilin had taken her hand and started dragging her towards another store instead, and she could only smile and shake her head. Yan Meilin seemed so much happier than she had ever seen her before, so she was not willing to dampen the mood.

At this point, a voice sounded from behind, "Madam Han!"

Yan Meilin stopped in her tracks and turned around. Jiang Yingyue followed suit, but the moment she turned around, her eyes narrowed, and a dangerous gleam appeared in her eyes.

In front of her were He Yuyan and a middle-aged woman. It was clear that she was her mother as they resembled each other slightly. Both of them were smiling at Yan Meilin while looking at Jiang Yingyue with curiosity but also slight arrogance.

"Madam He," Yan Meilin greeted them with a nod of her head. She had heard about He Yuyan's deeds from her husband, and she had an awful impression of her. She was not willing to be seen together with them unless absolutely necessary.

"Madam Han, this is?" Madam He looked at Jiang Yingyue with curiosity. She had never seen this woman before and was curious where she came from.

He Yuyan also looked at her and felt that she had seen her before, but she could not pinpoint where this familiarity came from. She could only feel hostility towards this unfamiliar woman.

"Oh, this?" Yan Meilin looked at Jiang Yingyue, her face flashing a happy smile. "This is my daughter-in-law," she said straightforwardly, causing Jiang Yingyue to blush, but she did not decline it. It was the truth, after all.

Unfortunately, the He mother and daughter pair were filled with amazement, alongside hatred and resentment.

The He family were amongst the strongest in the country, and they had always hoped for a marriage relationship with the Han family, but now Yan Meilin was telling them that Han Qingshan already had someone in his heart?

"I am not sure what your name is?" He Yuyan asked, and Jiang Yingyue looked at her before she answered with a voice, so beautiful and clear as the stream in spring.

"My surname is Jiang," she said, and the moment the words escaped her lips, He Yuyan stared at her with a pale face, her eyes filled with hatred. "Are you related to Jiang Fengmian?" she asked through gritted teeth, and her hatred was so intense that it could almost be felt.

"I have no obligation to answer you," Jiang Yingyue answered lazily, as she looked at Yan Meilin. "Mother, why don't we continue our shopping?" she asked.

This was her first time calling Yan Meilin 'Mother,' but the words caused the older lady to beam with happiness as she clapped the back of Jiang Yingyue's hand and said happily, "Good! We should continue shopping!"
