Chapter 103 - Fight Between The Developers

Zhou Yan was not pleased with Han Qingshan. He wanted to compete against him, he wanted to cause trouble for him, and he wanted him to finally understand that Jiang Yingyue was not someone that could be touched by others than Zhou Yan himself. However, he would never do anything that would make Jiang Yingyue uncomfortable or unhappy.

Seeing that Han Qingshan and Jiang Yingyue had been chatting with Zhou Yan for some time and left, many of the people within the room started gossiping.

They all felt that their conversation had to have been about business, likely about the drama between Imperial World and Starry Sky Entertainment Agency as these two companies were backed by the two respective young masters.

No one would have guessed that the conversation within the booth had been about Jiang Yingyue, neither would they have believed it if anyone told them so.

Seeing that Zhou Yan stayed in the booth and leaned back, a sinister smile playing on his lips, they all wondered what had happened and were very curious, but they knew better than to go and ask.

"Let us go talk with He Julong," Zhou Yan said after contemplating his next step for some time. "I am going to make their family vanish from the upper class in this country, so it is a good idea to know what I am up against."

Lin Qiang made an obeisance and turned to lead him towards the booth belonging to He Julong.

He Julong was shocked when he saw that Zhou Yan and his assistant were moving towards him. He was supposed to feel pride and happiness, but all he could feel was unease.

Everyone else at the party was eagerly observing every move of Zhou Yan, and they had their own theories as to why he was heading towards He Julong; most of these theories were the same more or less.

"So after Han Qingshan stopped working together with the He family, it looks like the Zhou family wants to take over," someone muttered, and the others nodded.

In another booth, Wang Feihong was starting to feel worried. If Zhou Yan truly started working together with the He family, then they would never be able to overtake them.

Zhou Yan narrowed his eyes as he looked at He Julong. Perhaps he would have waited with his revenge for the sake of Jiang Yingyue, but he had seen how He Julong had tried striking up a conversation with her earlier, so he knew that he had no choice other than to deal with him as soon as possible. The more he waited, the more dangerous things would become for Jiang Yingyue.

He Julong was unaware of Zhou Yan's goal, but he was still uncomfortable. He had an inner voice screaming danger at him, but his rational thoughts suppressed this feeling.

He knew of the war between Han Qingshan and Zhou Yan with the two entertainment agencies, and his rationality told him that he was here to cause even more trouble for Han Qingshan.

Unfortunately, He Julong did not know that to Zhou Yan, although it was fun to cause problems for Han Qingshan, and although he wanted to trouble him, it was nothing compared to Jiang Yingyue.

Jiang Yingyue would always be the most important person to him, so if she was in trouble, he would throw everything away and help her. Now that the He family had dared to hire someone to run her over, it was obvious that he would never let them go.

"Young Master Yan, what can I do for you?" He Julong asked with a flattering smile on his face. Although he was one of the most famous people in their circle, he was still not above the Han and Zhou families, and thus he had no other option than to humble himself.

"I heard that the Han company changed their opinion about working with you on a specific contract," Zhou Yan began, and Lin Qiang instantly knew what he was planning. His heart almost ached for He Julong.

"That is true," He Julong nodded his head, feeling a bit better. "The Han family had planned on giving us a contract and work with a certain collaboration with us, however, due to a certain misunderstanding, they decided to work with the Wang family instead.

"It just so happens that this party is hosted by the Wang family to celebrate their success."

Zhou Yan nodded his head. "Then what does the He family plan on doing now? Seek other companies to collaborate with, or just slowly wither away?"

He Julong narrowed his eyes as he looked at Zhou Yan who sat down next to him, his eyes were cold and his features expressionless.

"We will obviously look for other companies to work together with," He Julong answered honestly. "Our family specializes in the construction industry, and so does the Wang family. Both of us develop and renovate the new and old parts of the city, and as long as there is money flowing around, we will be needed."

"I see," Zhou Yan nodded his head. "Well then, why not go to our side?" He asked casually. "I own a piece of land at the outskirts of the city, it is laying rather well, and the feng shui is good. It is named the Heavenward District, and I could use someone to develop it into a residential area."

He Julong's eyes shone when he heard what Zhou Yan offered. The Heavenward District was well known to all developers, but no one had managed to find out who owned it, nor what the plans were for it.

If the He family truly got their hands on a contract within the Heavenward District, they would be benefiting from misfortune. This district was even better than the Cloudsoar District they had lost to the Wang family!
