101 years before cannon.

It's been a little less than three years since I've left the Soul Society to hunt down the ghosts of war that murdered my pack and I have lost count of the distance I have parkoured a long time ago.

I currently found myself outside a burning building, multiple corpses laid bloodied and utterly broken upon the ashen ground. Some purple particles dissipated into nothingness leaving behind mutated skeletons and destroyed weapons littered the ground alongside them. I grabbed a tissue and cleaned the blood off of my blade, sighing in satisfaction as I watched the last of those accursed churches burn to the ground.

Turns out the Cathedral wasn't the only monument they controlled, these ċȯċkroaches were hidden everywhere. I had to travel to multiple continents, find and destroy every single one of them individually, in the end my patience paid off and I killed off the last of their unholy cult... for now. There had at least been a couple dozen of different cathedrals, churches and even monument, hundreds of followers and hundreds of wraiths that I thoroughly slaughtered one by one. It allowed me to grow stronger by a small margin but I made good progress in control and technique.

I bent down and grabbed a skull laying on the ground.

I turned it so the skull's face now faced mine, a normal sized skull with multiple spikes coming out from its sides and had a '+' shaped hole in place of its left eye. This was the skull of the last Wraith I needed to hunt down, the ghost had put up quite the fight but in the end it couldn't do anything other than dying to my hands. I snarled one last time at it and crashed it in a last show of triumph against the forces of the War-Wielder.

Now I just needed to go back home.

Finally, after four long years away, I was finally able to go back home to my love. I grinned as wide as I could in happiness, I concentrated my power in my sword and directed the flow of power just like how I would open a Senkaimon but I merged it with my ability to teleport, this allowed me to travel great distances instantly.

I walked towards the light and entered the afterlife. I brushed my hands on my beard that I grew during these 4 years, it was a little prickly but soft, well not like I'll keep it for longer anyways.

I walked out of the other side and out of the Senkaimon where I set it to open.

The portal closed being me, I walked forward until I stopped in front of multiple familiar figures, one of them being Soi Fon. I smiled brightly at the petite shinigami and bent down to kiss her on lips, completely ignoring whether there were people or not watching, she blushed brightly but didn't fight it.

I pulled back and before I could stand straight she whispered to me, "I like the new look, are you keeping the beard?" I chuckled while whispering back, "Not a chance." She huffed with a fake point but quickly smiled at me.

I heard a cough next to me which caught my attention, turning my head I say old man Yamamoto looking at me, "Old man." I 'greeted' him with a nod, "Brat." He 'greeted' back.

"You're late." Yamamoto commented, I nodded "Yeah, they were pretty resilient, sorry for the wait."

"I take it the mission went well then?" The old man questioned, "I wouldn't be here if I was sure it wasn't over."

The old commander hummed and turned back, "Bring me the full report as soon as you can." Before shunpoing away.

I huffed in irritation, even in the afterlife he still had to deal with paperwork. Anyways, I shifted my gaze back to Soi Fon and approached her happily, before I could do anything Yoruichi "ahem-ed" to catch my attention. I grumbled internally and slowly turned my head to look at the purple haired captain, "What is it this time?" I growled, Yoruichi didn't look fazed by the tone in which I asked the question and simply answered the question.

"We still have work to do, Soi Fon can't go with you yet." She explained, a tick mark formed on my forehead. I was not waiting more than I already had, I looked blankly at Yoruichi than back at Soi Fon and so on until I slowly approached Soi Fon and hoisted her up into my arms, "Wait, didn't you hear w-" I cut her off, "What you just said? Yes, loud and clear but honestly..." I looked at her in mild mock and annoyance, "Does it look like I give a fuċk? Because I don't."

Yoruichi's eyebrow twitched, "You aren't going anywhere, put the girl down." She demanded light heartedly in mock seriousness. I turned back and ran while yelling "You'll never catch me alive!" Technically already dead but you get the idea.

Soi Fon could only look surprised as the interaction went on, her captain wasn't following them and she and I both saw the knowing look on her face as we made our way to Soi Fon's house.

We quickly made it to the house, I opened the door with a flick of energy as my hands were quite occupied with Soi Fon, I went over to the baths and we went inside. We kissed like it was our last time seeing each other, hands tracing along each other's bodies, we soon entered the bath after shedding our clothes. I kissed her neck and left hickies at some places, I travelled back up to her mouth and captured her lips in a passionate kiss. "I missed you, luv." I said with a small accent, Soi Fon raised a high brow "Luv? Where did you get that one from?"

"During the mission I went to a country called England, some people there used it but it is pretty rare that some people use it in this era. It's an abbreviation of "love" or can be used as a way to show affection to someone in a friendly way." I explained letting the "era" part slip out without meaning too, fortunately she didn't seem to care as she blushed a little and made a "o" shape with her mouth.

I traced my hands down all the way to her soft behind and groped it soflty making her mȯȧn a little, I locked my eyes with hers, "Shall we continue?" Soi Fon without answering just kissed me.

For multiple hours they would not come out of the house.

Somewhere else in the Seireitei

"It appears the test subjects are almost ready for testing, Aizen." Tosen informed. Aizen's shone with anticipation, "It appears they are, we can now go on to the next step." The screen switches to multiple pictures of different individuals, "We only need some strong vessels for our experiment." He said before going back to preparing his masterpiece.

Hell. The only word that could describe a small portion of this world. The sky was filled with purple smoke that formed ċumulonimbuses, dark purple lighting screeched inside the cloud shining with deadly light. When it grazed the ground, the ashy corpse filled ground would melt and exploded with searing red fury, the ear-splitting whip lash would be enough to kill even the most powerful beings from the sound alone.

Mountains of fossilized bones made out of creatures from eras forgotten, melting pits of corruption screamed with absolutely horrific horror, beings so big they could be mistaken with gods, rotting corpses covered the ground in its entirety. The air was scorching heat of the air burned your lungs and it's cold bite ate away at ones soul but even then the oxygen was so scarse that it made it hard to breath, and when you were able to breath albeit bȧrėly it would feel like a unaccountable amount of needles maimed you from the inside out.

Even then, one place still stood strong, an intricate entity that folded in on itself but expanded at the same time levitated in the sky, it's shape was ever-changing, infinite. It almost reassembled a modelbrot set.

If one was able to enter the ever-changing cube they would meet the ruler of this place, inside a palace guarded by Wraiths. The Lord of this place gazed upon a crystal ball that showed the image of Wisp destroying the last of his "churches" and smiled, that annoying mortal has waged enough war, spilled enough blood and now the Lord was ready to create his own chosen warrior against the gods. The curator of war will meet his nemesis soon enough.

For now, he will be a spectator. He will gather every last ounce of power generated from this world's war and channel them into his masterpiece, his warmonger, their apocalypse.

The War-Wielder admired his most powerful creation yet, in terms of Wraiths that is, the being would tower over everything (Wisp included) coming at a 4.3 meters mountain of muscles, it's skin looked to be weaved with some sort of metal alloy, tusks grew out of its lower jaw and spike grew along his spine.

Wisp pov.

Hours later, middle of the night.

Forehead meets table.

I ġrȯȧnėd silently as I wrote the report for the old man, trying to remember everything was most likely the hardest part. There was at least a dozen major "churches" and many more settlement, I was already done with half of it but it had already taken hours to do it and at least a small books worth of A4 pages.

I opened my mouth to scream silently, a small high pitched whistle like sound came out of my mouth. I looked at Soi Fon who was sleeping peacefully, I had already cleaned the room of any 'ahem' things so the room was pretty clean.

I thought back on what happened a few hours ago when Soi Fon saw the new scars along my body, when she finally noticed them, she began to fuss over it. I understood why she fussed over it as much as she did, my regeneration kept me from getting lasting scars but I had a few black marks along my body, mainly my arms and torso.

A bear once clawed my arm off and it left a claw mark, it looked like a jagged ring around my upper arm, I had a few black bullet hole scars on my torso, some slashes here and there that weren't very visible if you didn't pay attention. It may be because of my regeneration but I've stopped caring about injuries on myself, if it was anyone else the trauma would be crippling or they would be dead. Most likely the latter.

Anyways, she told me to be careful and asked me to promise not to get hurt too much but I couldn't promise, after all, you don't make a girl a promise you can't keep.
