Nathan was a perceptive person. Mandy didn't normally call him at this time. Mandy knew that he was busy with work around this time, so she tried not to disturb him. She would only call him during his lunch breaks or send text messages.

Mandy shook her head. She suddenly felt light-headed and imagined that Nathan was in front of her. She shook her head as if he was there with her.

Nathan waited for her answer. His face became serious, and he said anxiously, "Mandy, are you okay?"

Mandy came to her senses and said slowly, "Nathan, I’m fine. It’s just… I hit Eve, and the surveillance camera recorded it."

Nathan's frown deepened, and he squinted his dark eyes. "You hit Eve, and the surveillance camera recorded you? Where are you now?" he questioned.

"I’m in the hospital, in Adrian’s ward," Mandy replied.

"Don’t go anywhere. Wait for me at the hospital, I’ll be right there." Nathan's face fell. He immediately picked up his coat from the back of his chair as he stood up.

Nathan knew what kind of person Eve was. Eve was a woman who liked to cause trouble, and she wasn’t afraid of doing so. Even if she did get herself into trouble, someone always cleaned up after her. Nathan guessed that if she had the opportunity, she would’ve called the p

Daisy stared at them with doubt as they explained to her. ‘Did Mandy really hit Eve in the hospital?’ she thought to herself. ‘Did Eve have a concussion? That’s a good thing! Eve deserved it.’ Daisy had no sympathy for Eve. Instead, she applauded Mandy for doing such a thing.

Mandy had always been a woman who had no interest in competing with others. She never liked to argue or beat people. If what the police said was true, Daisy assumed that Eve provoked Mandy first.

Daisy stared at the police quietly without saying a word.

The head of the police couldn’t wait any longer and said with a raised voice, "If you don’t believe me, Mrs. Jin, you can go to the fifth floor to have a look. Miss Su is hospitalized in the orthopedics department."

"Don’t talk nonsense! I don’t believe you! Slander could land you in prison. Show me your evidence first." Daisy suddenly realized the seriousness of the matter at hand. The police could be telling the truth, but this matter would put Mandy at a disadvantage. As Mandy's mother-in-law, her priority was to protect Mandy at all times.
