Chapter 928 Jose's Help

"The stairs in the Cardiology Department," Mandy instructed nervously.

Jose immediately found the location and deleted the surveillance video. He deliberately made it seem like the whole floor’s surveillance video had malfunctioned.

"Don’t worry, Director Mandy. I deleted the surveillance video," Jose said, assuring her.

Jose had heard about Eve. He knew that she was the daughter of the CEO of Sus Bank and was a famous socialite in the upper class. She was known for her unruly temper. Although Jose never met her, he decided that he didn’t like her very much.

"Mr. Xu, you even erased the surveillance video of the whole floor. If the police come to investigate, wouldn't you get in trouble for this?" Mandy clenched her fist and was flustered by the thought of Eve contacting the police.

Mandy couldn’t drag Jose down with her.

Jose smiled calmly and said, "It's normal for a surveillance camera to break. I'll report the malfunction immediately and ask someone to fix it. By the way, Director Mandy, I also have to erase all the videos of you coming into the monitoring room."

Mandy glanced down at her watch. She had been here for ten minutes and couldn't stay any longer. She stood up and said in a hurry, "Thank you, Mr. Xu. I'll come by to thank you again personally when this matter is settled."

Jose smiled and immediately waved at Mandy, saying, "Director Mandy, you’d better leave now. I’ll take it from here."

"Thank you, Mr. Xu."

When she returned to Adrian’s ward, he was awake. Daisy had been playing with him. Mandy thought that his condition had been improving lately. At least he wasn’t as drowsy anymore.

"Hi, Nathan, what are you doing?" Mandy asked, looking at the scenery outside the balcony with wistful eyes. She imagined that she was looking at Nathan.

"I'm just going over some files. What are you doing, honey?" Nathan put down the pen in his hands, feeling worn out. It was a limited edition MontBlanc that Mandy had gifted to him three years ago. Nathan used this pen all the time when he worked, and he hadn’t used another pen in years.

"I'm calling you from the balcony." Mandy looked up at the sky. The sun cast a gold film over her surroundings. The logo of JR Hospital was painted in gold and shone brightly.

After she quit being a doctor, Mandy never thought she would come here again. She didn’t expect to spend so much time here again.

"What’s wrong?" Nathan asked with a slight frown on his face. "Did something happen?"
