Chapter 916 You Love Me

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
The people around sighed and wondered what was wrong with the couple. They were lucky that it was a private dinner and reporters were not present. If there had been reporters in that hall, the couple would doubtlessly have made the next day's headlines. Although Nacy had quit the entertainment circle, she was still very much a celebrity. And with Simon's status and family background, the media would have loved to get a story out of their lives.

Nacy was no longer able to stand Simon's insecurities and constant suspiciousness. She and Bruce were nothing but friends. Even though she used to like Bruce, those feelings were well past her now. Could that be counted against her, and seen as disloyalty?

'Simon is so narrow-minded,' Nacy concluded to herself in anger.

"Nathan, what's wrong with those two?" Mandy was a little stunned when she noticed the drama. Just a few minutes ago, she and Nathan were going round for a bite of the tasty food in the hall. She hadn't thought that her friends would start quarreling as soon as their backs were turned.

"I'm not so sure but don't worry about them. Simon can handle her. My sister is quite short-tempered, but her anger goes as quickly as it comes. Although she is a proud woman, she can be soft-hearted." Nathan squinted his dark eyes and looked in the direction of the exit.

"Sometimes, though, I envy them for having so much drama. It's healthy to quarrel from time to time." Mandy took a bite of the cake and turned to look at Nathan.

"Are you tired? If you are, we can go home early." He held Mandy closely.

She shook her head. "No, I'm not tired. I haven't even eaten anything yet."

Mandy hadn't been out for such an event ever since Adrian's hospitalization. It was nearly impossible to go feasting during that period. The bacterial experiments had finally come to an end. Jamie had developed a temporar

er arms and spoke bluntly, "Nothing. I just think men are heartless."

"I may be heartless to others, but I love you, wholeheartedly. Isn't that good enough? I love only you in the world. Aren't you satisfied with that?" He twirled her around and forced her to look into his eyes.

She was pleased to hear what he said, but she pretended to be cold. "Yes, I'm happy with it. But what about me. Didn't I give all of myself to you?"

Simon quickly understood what Nacy meant by that. He finally flashed a smile. "So, you do love me?"

"When have I ever stopped loving you? You're so stupid! Bruce and I are just good friends. To me, he is like a big brother. He saved my life when I was a child, and he has always treated me well. I only hope you can treat him as a friend, even if it's for my sake. He really is a good person," she explained. Whenever she talked about Bruce, she was always in high spirits.

"Yes, he's a good man. He is so good that he had to rely on a woman to attain the position that he's currently in." The corners of Simon's mouth twitched in disdain. He wondered if Nacy was out of her mind. Why did she approve of Bruce so strongly? He couldn't understand how Bruce got so lucky to have her on his side every single time.
