Chapter 901 Lending Money To Tina

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Before she answered Tina's call, Fiona hesitated and had a difficult time deciding whether to pick up or not. Ethon said that she did not have to answer such a person's call, but after everything, Fiona was still softhearted. Tina used to be her best friend, and she had known her for a long time. When Tina was in high school, she was a shy and introverted girl. Fiona could not imagine how and why she turned out the way she did.

If she had any other choice, Tina would never have sacrificed her pride for this phone call.

"Please, do me this one last favor. I know it was all my fault, Nana. I was wrong. I'm really sorry." Holding the phone to her ear, Tina suddenly felt uncomfortably cold. Perhaps she was coming down with the flu.

A car whizzed past her, splashing rainwater all over her. Tina screamed and cursed the driver of the car, "Hey! Didn't you see me standing here? Where are your manners?"

Frowning, Fiona paused for a few seconds and then asked, "What's wrong? Who are you yelling at?"

"Nothing. Just some jerk who drenched me with rainwater by driving like a total moron," Tina replied. She was completely soaked now, and her hair was a mess.

Fiona did not really want to talk to her, but she still asked with concern, "Where are you now?"

While on the phone, Fiona turned her head and looked out the window. It was raining cats and dogs in City A tonight. She wondered if Tina had taken an umbrella with her.

They used to be good friends, but now they were like enemies. Fiona did not have any other friends but Tina for many years because neither of them liked a third wheel in their friendship. They had a good relationship. They had meals together, had sleepovers, and even wore each other's clothes. They had been through many ups and downs, but they had a falling out when Fiona started becoming rich. Tina had changed since then.

Fiona smiled helplessly and thought, 'Are friends only supposed to go through hardship together but not enj

n't want that."

"You really are so kind. I don't know where you get that from," Ethon said with a smile, lowering his eyes.

After a short pause, Fiona said, "I believe I get it from my sister."

"Your sister is much smarter than you are."

Fiona pouted but did not refute Ethon's words. After all, what he said was right. Mandy was smarter than she was, and she was well aware of it.

"My sister is indeed smarter and prettier than I am. She is better than me in everything," Fiona said with a sincere smile on her face.

Ethon frowned and said, "Nana, I didn't mean that. I was just kidding."

"I know. It's okay. I don't find it offensive," Fiona replied with a smile.

"I thought you felt I was mocking you," Ethon said honestly.

"Ethon… I have a question to ask you." Fiona gazed at Ethon with her bright eyes.

Ethon did not realize how pretty they were until the ceiling light reflected in them at just the right angle. He momentarily stopped breathing. He was intoxicated by those amazing windows to Fiona's soul. She was slightly blushing as well. She was breathtakingly beautiful.

"What is it?" Ethon asked in a low and charming voice.

"Will you be angry with me if I hide something important from you?" Fiona smiled gently. It seemed that she was joking, but she spoke very seriously.
