Chapter 871 Meet Daniel

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Bruce looked at Daniel with sharp eyes. He guessed that Mandy and Daniel were not just ordinary classmates. They must have been a couple in the past. After all, if old classmates were all they were, why would they act so embarrassed to see each other again?

"I own this restaurant. Since you're here, your meal is on the house." Daniel smiled gracefully like a perfect gentleman.

It had been three years. It all seemed like a dream now. The last time Mandy saw Daniel, she was still a little embarrassed around him, but she did not feel as heartbroken as she had before. She slowly calmed down, smiled, and said gently, "Really? Then I won't waste this opportunity. I want to eat the most expensive food here."

"That won't be a problem. Would you like to dine in a private room or downstairs?" Daniel asked enthusiastically, looking at Mandy with warmth and sincerity in his eyes.

"A private room, please," Bruce said calmly and smiled at Daniel.

To be polite, Daniel smiled back at him, but it was obvious that neither of them liked the other.

The air became tense and awkward in an instant. To ease the tension, Daniel went to the front desk to get some menus. He returned to Mandy and Bruce and said, "Let me take you upstairs. You can place your orders on the way."

The waiters and waitresses around them were all stunned. The restaurant had been open for more than a month, but this was the first time that their boss had taken orders from guests. Daniel was a very busy man. He owned another restaurant in City B and ran it well. He was good at opening and managing special kinds of restaurants, and he only hired first-class Michelin star chefs. He compensated them very well.

The three of them entered the private room. It was large, quiet, elegant, and decorated in European style. Mandy liked the decor very much. She felt at home.

Bruce pulled out a chair for Mandy like a gentleman while Daniel handed her a menu.

The private room was very quiet, which unse

ce recalled the class he was once in charge of. There were two pairs of young couples in that class. Bruce had talked to them. They were in their last year of high school. Bruce did not force them to break up but asked them to study hard and try to get into a good university.

Later, when the class finished the college entrance examinations, some of them were happy while some were worried. One of the couples was admitted to the same school, but the other couple was not. Bruce heard that they had agreed to do a long-distance relationship. He had no idea how that went for them.

"You were a bad student. You fell in love so early," Bruce said carefully, narrowing his eyes.

"I was young, okay? My hormones were raging and everything. Besides, I was at an age where crushes were a big deal, and the first awakening of love was inevitable. However, I didn't let my relationship interfere with my studies. Love and relationships were very simple at that time. They're different now. Everything has changed." Mandy lowered her head. She smiled, but it did not reach her eyes, which confused Bruce.

Mandy did not want to talk about the past. There was no point. She and Daniel had become different people now, almost strangers. Even if they now had each other's phone number, she doubted that they would keep in touch.
