Chapter 829 Devil From Hell

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Nathan sneered. "For someone who claims to have nothing to do with it, you seem to know a lot. How do you know that Ouyang admitted that he was the one who had poisoned Adrian? Can you look me in the eye and tell me that you didn't have anything to do with all of this? And regarding the diamond scandal, do you really think I'm blind?"

Frightened, Eve easily detected the irony in Nathan's words. She was rendered speechless.

"People always say that you can't really trust anyone. Looks like I was wrong about you." He smiled lightly as his slender fingers slid down and slowly moved to her neck. Then without warning, he strangled her mercilessly. "Don't you get tired of having to act in front of me all the time? You're so cunning, but you act like you're innocent. I never thought I'd have to deal with you in this way. If I only knew that you would do something like this, then I would have already killed you three years ago."

Eve trembled in fear. She couldn't say anything as Nathan was choking her. With much effort, she managed to say, "Do you... do you hate me that much? I... I've always loved you. You know that."

"Then you should know that I only love Mandy. If you hurt her, I won't stop at anything. I could kill you if I wanted to." Nathan scowled at her, the air around him frigid.

Eve felt as if she had just been stabbed in the chest.

Suddenly, he tightened his grip on her neck. Her face turned red as she gasped for air.

Stubborn as Eve was, she still refused to admit what she had done even under such circumstances. There was a part of her that was afraid that if she admitted it, Nathan would really end up killing her. She figured it was better to continue lying.

"I didn't… really... I

came out as her tears began flowing.

For the first time, she was hit with the hard truth—that Nathan utterly hated her. If this confrontation had never happened, she never would have known.

He described her as the devil from hell. Pain enveloped her entire being.

The atmosphere in the room grew even tenser. Howling, Eve cried, "Nathan, what's wrong with me? I've loved you for years! Why don't I deserve you?"

Her voice was loud enough for Tony and Bruce to hear her from the next room.

Tony frowned. He asked in confusion, "What happened? Are they fighting?"

Bruce raised his finger and put it against his lips as if to tell him to be quiet. "Shh. Be quiet. Let's just listen."

For a while, Bruce was beginning to think that they had come here for nothing. He didn't expect that they would be able to hear anything. Under normal circumstances, they wouldn't be able to, but since they were fighting, they could hear everything clearly.

Still, his curiosity ate him up. Why were Eve and Nathan fighting? Weren't they here on a date?

If they came here to fight, why were they doing it in such an expensive high-end restaurant?
