Chapter 828 Don't Play Dumb

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Bruce was 30 years old, which meant that Tony was six years his junior. He and Tony were from two completely different worlds. However, working with Tony was a delight as he was an easygoing guy who could make anyone laugh.

Tony was lively and animated while Bruce was calm and composed. Still, Tony shouldn't be underestimated as he was a capable man who had studied Mathematics and graduated from Harvard University. In fact, he could easily find a better job elsewhere.

Bruce had only gotten the job of deputy director of the Education Bureau because of Nacy. As for Tony, he wasn't interested in teaching but was greatly interested in studying math. His parents had used their connections so that he could get a job at the Education Bureau.

"Why did you say that?" Tony protested. He straightened his back, which emphasized his tall figure.

"You didn't know? You wanted to eavesdrop on their conversation!" Bruce said with his head lowered. He was busy ordering food on his phone.

Tony walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. "Don't tell me you aren't interested in knowing what they're talking about. I know how much you want to eavesdrop on their conversation."

Bruce was rendered speechless. He touched his nose rather bashfully. "Ahem... I think you know too much."

His tone seemed playful, but there seemed to be an underlying cautionary air in it.

Tony was quick to catch this, so he immediately responded, "I'm sorry, sir. I shouldn't have said that."

Bruce pretended to be aloof as he ignored him for a moment. Then he slowly said, "It's good that you know what you did wrong. From now on, don't say that again."

"Okay." Tony smiled broadly. He knew that Bruce was just joking with him.

Meanwhile, in the room right next to theirs, Nathan and Eve sat across from ea

proached Eve, taking his time.

In Eve's nervousness, she couldn't say a word. If she wasn't sitting at that moment, she probably would have fallen in a heap to the floor already. She stared at Nathan, eyes widened. Her mind raced as she wondered what he was going to do to her, panic filling her chest.

Nathan stretched out his hand and pinched Eve's chin with his fingers. Emphasizing each word, he said ruthlessly, "Adrian is my son, and Mandy is my wife. Before you did any of those things, you should have thought it over first. If you think you can get away with this, think again! I'll make sure you regret hurting me and my family until your dying breath! You should have known that this day would come before you thought of hurting my son!"

Eve began breathing heavily as she felt her head throb. She closed her eyes. Soon, tears had streamed down her face.

"Nathan, why won't you believe me? I didn't do that! I didn't poison him! Didn't Ouyang admit it to you already? It was him. I had nothing to do with that! The scandal with the JS International wasn't me either! It was Colin!" Eve hastily explained. She had intended to shift the blame, but it appeared that she had said too much.
