The request was not out of line, so Eve accepted it with a bit of pleasure. She was delighted to be friends with him. After all, she knew she did not have any feelings for him. The first time she saw him, she just found that his personality and temperament was similar to that of Nathan. However, this man wasn't Nathan, and Nathan was the only man she loved the most. Nothing could change that fact.

After talking about the blind date, Eve felt quite delighted. She lay back on the sofa, feeling exhaustion take over. Suddenly, while she was playing with her cell phone, her game was interrupted by a call. Seeing Nathan's name on the screen, Eve could not help but sit up in surprise.

She rubbed her eyes in disbelief, and when she saw that it was really Nathan, she swallowed at the nervous lump in her throat.

Her hands started to tremble as she held her phone. There was an inexplicable excitement in knowing that the man she loved was calling her now, but then anxiety kicked in. An uneasiness loomed in her heart. After all, she still didn't know why Nathan was making a call to her right now.

Eve stared at her phone as the call rang for about five seconds now. Claire glanced at her indifferently. She looked over at her phone, and when she saw Nathan's name, she smiled and asked, "Why don't you answer it?"

Finally, Eve was jolted back to reality. She stood up and answered the phone. She walked towards the second floor with a mysterious look on her face, just like a young girl who was talking to her first love.

A mocking smile emerged on Claire's lips as she watched Eve's retreating back. Although she disliked Eve, she still admired the fact that Eve was very persistent in pursuing her love.

After all, compared with Eve's persistence in love, Claire knew she felt self-abased.

Meanwhile, back in the office, Nathan sat on his chair as he fiddled with a gold pen between his slender and toned fingers. As he waited for the call to be picked up, there was an indifferent squint and an unfathomable gloom on his face.

Finally, the ringing stopped. "Hello, Nathan!" Eve greeted over her cell phone, feeling happy and excited as if her heart was going to jump out of her throat.

"Where are you right now?" Without any greeting, Nathan asked expressionlessly, but there was still a hint of elegance in his low and magnetic voice.

"Home, Nathan. Why?" Eve replied softly with a huge and sweet smile on her face. Her heart was racing inside her chest as she was completely spellbound by his attractive voice.

"Long time no see, so how about having lunch together?" Nathan said casually on the phone as he continued to fiddle with the pen in his hand.

Upon hearing the lunch invitat

t of her made his heart pound with love and excitement.

With that, Bruce did not reply anymore as they both felt the air in the street become quiet and peaceful. They walked without another word to each other, letting their inner feelings absorb the silence.

Finally, they reached the car. Tony took the driver's seat, while Bruce sat in the front passenger seat.

Even though it had been quite a while since they spoke, Tony's words made Bruce feel a lot of emotions well up inside him. Bruce believed that beauty was indeed in the eyes of the beholder. Although Tony's girlfriend wasn't beautiful, Tony still loved her very much. This thought made Bruce think of Mandy. In fact, for the past few days, Mandy occupied his mind. Although Mandy was already taken and was already a married woman, he was still in love with her.

It seemed like once you were already determined to love and to give, it would be difficult to turn back. Bruce was also decided that he would never ask anything in return.

The newly built French restaurant finally came into view.

The decoration of the restaurant was grand and nearly romantic, just as how French people were. The interior was full of unique structures and was filled with an artistic atmosphere. As soon as Bruce and Tony walked in, they suddenly felt warm and comfortable. The owner of this restaurant wasn't well known, but even before its opening, it had already attracted the public. Ever since then, it had been popular and gradually gaining more and more attention.

As they pushed through the revolving door, they were immediately greeted by a gorgeous crystal lamp that was casting a layer of blue light in the hall. The whole interior was elegant and peaceful. A melodious saxophone and violin could also be heard intertwining like flowing water.
