It was a secret that no one else knew.

Madeline wouldn't tell Stanley and likewise Mandy wouldn't tell Nathan either.

As Madeline got lost in her own thoughts, Mandy's phone suddenly buzzed—it was a message from Nathan.

Mandy immediately opened the message. Nathan had sent her a photo of his office and the message read: "Baby, I'm in the company now. Are you in the ward?"

Mandy smiled and replied, "Yes, I've been here for a while."

Nathan answered back in just almost a second, "I'm going to start working now. If you need anything, just call me."

Mandy replied back with a kiss emoji.

Ever so discreetly, Madeline glanced at Mandy's phone. When she saw the two chatting sweetly, she couldn't help but smile.

Just as Mandy was about to close the WeChat app where she had been chatting with Nathan, she noticed that someone had posted on WeChat moments, so she clicked it.

It was a new post from Milla, which read: "My love is oceans and mountains away—a distance impossible to shorten."

For some reason, Mandy felt as if she had read this quote somewhere before. She read the next line in silence. It read: "I will sail through the oceans; I will climb over the mountains; I will love you; I will come to you."

She didn't know why Milla suddenly posted this. She clicked on Milla's page and found that she hadn't updated her WeChat moments in more than a month. Milla's page was normally active. She normally posted about anything—her afternoon tea, her exquisite dinner, and even whenever she went shopping. However, for some strange reason, she had been unusually quiet for a month.

Her new post also sounded a bit sad. Mandy hesitated, wondering if she should shoot Milla a message and ask her how she's doing. Just as she was thinking this over, her phone suddenly buzzed—someone had sent her a message.

It was Milla. Her message read: "Mand, looks l

went home to pack. Her mind was a mess that she even felt the impulse to do something stupid. She wanted to make Leo regret what he had done to her.

As for the WeChat moment she posted just now, that was meant for Leo.

She didn't know if Leo would see the message or not. Either way, it didn't matter as that was how she felt.

"What happened? Why did you two get a divorce?" Mandy asked in confusion.

She had always thought that Leo was a good man. He was a gentleman who never lost his temper, unlike Nathan. Leo was also polite to everyone, and his manners were perfect.

She never expected that Leo would do this to Milla.

Milla sat on the edge of the bed that she had shared with Leo. She caressed the bed sheets, blue and pink in color. She recalled when she bought these sheets with Leo.

At that time, she was particularly fond of bed sheets. Leo thought it was childish, and he even mocked her. Even then, he still gladly paid for it. The sheets weren't expensive by any means, but they still used it for a long time.

Chuckling, Milla answered, "Well, he says that the woman he loves is already back, so he left me." As she spoke, she sneered, bitterness welling up in her heart.

Mandy fell silent, unsure how to comfort Milla.
