Chapter 819 Her Unease

Nathan quietly reached out and held Mandy's hand reassuringly. His voice remained soft as he said, "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."

"Yes. Professor Elizabeth should be here by 8 o'clock this evening." Mandy raised her eyebrows. The thought of the professor being in city A gave her a surge of hope.

"Okay then. I'll have someone pick her up." His smile was elegant.

She raised her beautiful gaze to meet his well-carved face, and her mood brightened almost immediately. "Are you going to work? I can drive you."

Nathan was still smiling as he stood up. He knew what was on Mandy's mind. She had something to tell him, but Madeline's presence was preventing her from doing so.

"Mom, you stay here and take care of Adrian. I'm off to work," Nathan said gently.

"That's alright. You can both leave. I'll stay here with the boy." Madeline had a big smile on her face.

She had changed a lot over the years and was much more considerate about the needs of others.

She had initially been opposed to Nathan and Mandy's marriage. She felt that it was better if they both married into families that were similar to theirs. The Zhou and Jin Families were vastly different after all. JS International was a leading enterprise in City A, while the Zhou Group was merely a small listed company.

Madeline feared that Mandy would be treated unkindly, especially by Nathan's parents, who would see her as a gold digger. She had wanted to save her from the embarrassment that such rumors could result in.

However, Nathan's parents had taken to Mandy quite well. Besides, Nathan also pampered her silly. His only failing was that he hadn't let go of Sharon completely. He still kept memories of her. In

"Mand..." There was a slight temptation in his voice. He cupped the back of her head in his palms and kissed her fiercely.

Nathan's kiss was both domineering and gentle. His hands were possessive as they restlessly wandered over her body.

This was the elevator! Mandy was alarmed as she remembered where they were. This wasn't the office at JS International, nor was it their home for that matter. It would be awkward if someone were to walk in to see them kissing in the hospital elevator.

Mandy reluctantly reached out and gently pushed Nathan away. She whimpered, "Nathan, we have to stop. We can't do this here."

He sharply glanced at her before stepping back without a word. A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. "Don't worry. I won't make love to you here."

Mandy blushed. His response embarrassed her because he made it seem like she was asking for it.
