Chapter 818 Madeline Visited

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"What is it? Just tell me. Stop making me worry," Mandy said. Her attitude softened immediately. She wasn't as firm as before as she was afraid of what Nathan would do.

"Aren't you doubtful about me and Eve? I'm going to find her, and I'll make sure she pays for what she did and more," Nathan said coldly.

Mandy's face turned pale as the corners of her mouth twitched. If she hadn't been leaning against Nathan, she might have fallen to a heap on the floor. She gasped, feeling a wave of emotions surge in her chest. She stood there, at a loss for words.

She peered at Nathan, blushing. Then she lowered her head, and in a low voice, she said, "I'm not blaming you. Please don't go."

She knew Nathan well enough to know what he was going to do. What had happened to Justin last time was enough proof. If anyone dared to hurt her, he wouldn't stop at anything to take revenge.

"Mand, I'm a man. I know what I should and shouldn't do. Don't worry," Nathan said in a cold voice as he turned around.

The look on his face was enough to stop anyone from approaching him.

Alarmed, Mandy tightened her grasp on Nathan and said, "No, please don't go. That bitch is going to get what she deserves. The law can take care of that. I don't want you to go."

She was afraid that Nathan would kill Eve. She didn't want his hands to be stained with blood anymore. When Mandy was pregnant, Nathan promised her that he wouldn't kill anybody from then on because he didn't want karma to bite him in the ass and possibly affect Adrian.

As time passed by, Nathan had mellowed down. Gone was the crazy man he once was. However, now Mandy realized that the crazy man inside him was still alive more than ever.

Nathan scowled as he

dle in their personal affairs.

That was why she also pretended as if nothing had happened.

"Nathan, you can go to work after breakfast. Mom's here with me. You don't need to worry about me," Mandy said, feeling much better.

Nathan turned his head to look at her. Then he took her hand so they could sit down together. She looked as bashful as he did. He reached out and gently pinched her cheeks, his eyes brimming with affection. "Okay, let's have breakfast together."

Mandy leaned on Nathan tenderly, feeling his warmth. Her mind suddenly calmed down. Sometimes, she just needed to appreciate the little things like this. Still, she had too many problems, and things almost never went the way she wanted them to.

Madeline had made cheese dumplings and wontons, which Mandy loved. As soon as Mandy opened the box, the delectable smell instantly filled her nose. However, she had no appetite, so she didn't eat as much as she normally would.

Nathan couldn't help but worry. They'd been staying at the hospital for so long that it almost felt like their home. At night, he felt Mandy's restlessness. He'd never seen her so stressed before.
