"Simon." Nacy reached out and touched the back of his hand.

Simon stared at her. Both of them were out of breath inside the car.

He pulled her hand up to his lips and kissed it.

Nacy giggled and pushed him away in a joking manner. "You… Just drive carefully," she teased with a shy voice.

"I was trying to drive carefully, but you moved your hand to me." Still holding her hand, Simon smiled at her.

He stepped on the gas and slowly merged into the traffic. The car seemed like it was lost in the beautiful and thrilling night.

After the rain had stopped, the air felt damp and fresh with a faint fragrance of flowers.

Colin and Serge were walking side by side in the diamond factory. The factory had been shut down ever since it was discovered that the diamonds had been radiated. The police were trying their best to find out the truth, but they hadn't found anything yet.

When Colin first arrived at the processing plant, he went around to take photos of the places that seemed suspicious. Afterward, he immediately checked the surveillance videos and found that an important clip had gone missing.

Serge and Colin were both seated in the monitor room. They found that the surveillance video on the afternoon of the 17th had gone missing. That was right before the incident. If they weren't being thorough, they could've easily missed it.

Colin had been a prosecutor in the past, so he had learned to be particular about details. He also had experience with international cases like this one.

In fact, all the cases he had investigated as a prosecutor had been a success. The only thing that kept bothering him was his mother's death. He never gave up trying to find out the truth but was also afraid of uncovering it. He suspected that it had something to do with Monica.

It would be cruel of him to dig up the truth. Their family was already at peace. Why should he reveal the truth now? Since Colin's return to the family, Monica had been amicable and wasn't as bad-tempered as before.
