"Dad, you can go home and rest. I'll keep watch tonight," Simon said calmly.

"You shouldn't keep watch tonight. Go home with Nacy and rest. I'll stay here," Johnson replied.

"Well… It's going to be tiring. Let me do it," Simon answered.

Johnson waved his hand and frowned slightly. "Why? Do you think I'm old and useless now?"

"It's not that," Simon explained immediately with a doting smile.

"Then it's settled. You can go home with Nacy. It's getting late, don't hang around anymore. I can handle it here." Johnson smiled to his son.

Simon was currently the owner of the Ye Group. In the past twenty years, Johnson had been managing the company. Before Simon had gotten married, Johnson handed over the family business to his son.

In the few years that the Ye Group had been under the leadership of Simon, the company had expanded into a wide range of industries, such as jewelry and the film-television industries.

Johnson and Caroline were both old enough to retire. They had worked hard in their youth and could now retire earlier than others. After his retirement, Johnson had nothing to do besides read newspapers and plant flowers. Now that his wife was in the hospital, there was no reason for him not to stay with his wife.

"Try to go to bed early. Call me if you need anything," Simon said in a gentle voice.

Johnson nodded his head, but thought to himself, 'If anything happens, the doctors and nurses will help. There's no need to call you.'

Even though the conflict between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law had been resolved, Nacy felt that this matter would not be so simple.

"But… We're adults now, and we should take responsibility for our behaviors. We can't act rashly anymore." Nacy bit her lips and looked gloomy.

Simon didn't know what was plaguing Nacy's mind. Maybe it was because of the fight she had with Caroline. After a moment of silence, he decided to change the topic. "I won't let you go. Even if you choose to leave me, I won't give you up."

Nacy looked at him with red eyes. She smiled at him and said, "Don't be silly."

"You are my wife. I've loved you since I was a child. I fell in love with you before I even knew what love was. I can't ever let you go." Simon's brows furrowed. He had been tortured by longing before, and he didn't want to experience it again.
