Chapter 806 Doctor Sophia

Nacy frowned when she heard the news. It seemed that Caroline was well prepared for this.

"Well… Mom, there's no need for this anymore. I'm almost recovered. The doctor's very good. There's nothing wrong," Nacy said apprehensively.

Caroline was not aware of Nacy's exact physical condition. If she had known that her womb had some problems, she would surely fuss over it. Nacy decided it was better to keep her in the dark about this. After all, Simon was on her side.

Nancy had been informed by many that it would be difficult for people like her to get pregnant. Even if she was able to conceive, her pregnancy would be precarious. Her condition would be worse than a normal pregnant woman.

Only Nacy knew how hopeless her situation was. She couldn't let anyone else bear that pain for her.

"What? Don't you believe me?" Caroline's face became serious as she looked at Nacy.

Nacy shook her head. She was reluctant to see the doctor. The doctor might reveal her condition to Caroline. Seeing Caroline's unhappy expression, Nacy explained immediately, "Mom, I didn't mean it like that… I just meant that my current doctor is very good, and I want him to keep treating me."

"What's the problem? The more the merrier. What is it? Are you hiding something from me?" Caroline stared at Nacy suspiciously. It was as if she was trying to see through her.

Nacy didn't dare refuse Caroline when she was like this. "Mom, I'll go, okay?" she said with a smile.

"Alright then," Caroline said calmly.

After having breakfast, Nacy and Caroline went to a Chinese medicine hall. The place was crowded with people since it was located in the center of the city. It was decorated in an antique style, and the strong smell of Chinese medicine greeted them as soon as they enter

rance cards in their hands.

Caroline knocked on the door twice, paused, and then knocked thrice. It was like a secret code. Two seconds later, a middle-aged woman's gentle voice came from inside. "Come in, please."

Caroline pushed the door open and walked in as Dr. Sophia was taking a patient's pulse. She knew that it was Caroline by the knock on her door. This way of knocking had been passed down since their high school years.

Nacy took a close look at Dr. Sophia. She was clad in a white coat with her hair coiled up into a bun, which made her look graceful. Nacy estimated that Dr. Sophia was at least forty years old, but her figure was still curvy. She looked more like a noble lady than a doctor. Sophia's temperament reminded her of her mother-in-law's.

"I'll give you one week's worth of medicine. Remember to eat less seafood, honey, milk, fried chicken, tofu, and other health care products. You can't consume these things." Dr. Sophia drew up a prescription, swiped the patient's health care insurance card, and handed it over to her with a smile.

"Thank you, Dr. Sophia." The patient looked like she was in her twenties. She wasn't tall but had a pretty face.
