Chapter 789 Determined To Collect Evidence

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
There were two things that Colin regretted the most—bringing Mandy back to the country and agreeing to work with Eve. Now he was trapped in a dilemma. What made things even worse was that Eve wasn't treating him like a partner; instead, she treated him as nothing but a pawn that she could use and order around.

Colin wasn't comfortable with the idea of being used. However, he knew that he couldn't do anything about it even if he wanted to. He decided then that he was going to gather evidence on Eve so that he could eventually take her down. He had resigned himself to the possibility that he could lose Mandy but only after several days of sitting on the idea. He figured as long as Mandy was happy, he could be happy on his own too.

Like the song said, 'Being together for several years, we understand that love was not chasing and possession.'

Colin didn't mind not having Mandy as long as Eve wouldn't hurt her anymore.

He knew how much Mandy loved Adrian and how much she had sacrificed for him. While he and Adrian didn't exactly have the best relationship, that didn't change his feelings for Mandy. By the end of it all, he still felt bad for Adrian's illness.

He needed to make amends. He owed Mandy too much.

The longer he spent time with Eve, the more he realized that he couldn't be as evil as Eve was. He just couldn't stomach it.

After Eve left, he sent a message to Mandy through WeChat asking how she was doing recently. Several hours had passed, and yet Mandy still hadn't replied to him.

Even as it was already time to get off work, Mandy still hadn't replied to him. Colin stood in front of the French window and gazed at the gray sky outside. The gloominess enveloped the city.

Worried, he got off work and drove home like he usually did. However, suddenly, he took a detour and found himself heading to the JR Hospital.

He sat inside

Adrian is staying?" Colin asked simply, looking like a polite gentleman.

"I do. What's up? Are you here to see him?" Cassie asked, doubt laced in her tone. She squinted her eyes as she eyed Colin carefully.

"Oh, I'm here for Mandy. I need to talk to her. I sent her a message this afternoon, but she still hasn't replied. I'm just worried that something might have happened to her," he said brazenly, not even trying to hide his feelings for Mandy.

Cassie gazed back at him. Then softly, she said, "Come with us then. We're going to visit Adrian. He got a nosebleed this afternoon, so he was rushed to the operating room. Mandy accompanied him inside. That's probably why she wasn't able to reply to your message."

Hospitals were much more fast-paced than other workplaces. This was mostly because emergencies could happen anytime, and they needed to be attended to right away. Just that afternoon, Cassie had to assist in two surgeries. She was so busy that she barely had any free time. In fact, she was supposed to assist in one more surgery, but since she was pregnant, her colleagues insisted that they fill in for her so that she could go home early.

Frowning, Colin rubbed his temples, feeling guilty as he was at a loss for words.
