Chapter 669 Lisa Ignored Mandy

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Mandy took a glance at Colin. He had a highly intricate look on his face, and he spoke in a low, troubled tone. She knew he was worried. She sighed, her heart sagging. Whatever their decision would be, the most important thing was what Lisa wanted. She was afraid that the child would not agree to come with her. But if she did, she would convince Nathan. He was not petty, and persuading him would not be much of a problem.

The distinctive smell of antiseptic filled the hallway. There was also the usual hustle and bustle of doctors and nurses going about their business. The three of them did not speak a word as they waited outside of the emergency room.

Finally, the doors were pushed open, and Mandy was the first one to rush forward. The director of the pediatric department, who had made a thorough examination of Lisa, came out.

"Director Li, how is my child?" Mandy asked anxiously, holding her breath.

"Doctor Zhou, she's fine," the doctor said with a smile as he took off his mask. "Her activities and eating habits were completely different from when she was in the United States. Her body has not adapted yet, and with the change in weather, her immune system has weakened. Her fever has subsided, but we still have to pay close attention. Other than that, I believe that everything will be good."

"Thank you!" A sigh of relief escaped Mandy's lips, her heart calming.

"Oh, by the way, I have to remind you not to let your child get too excited. She hasn't recovered from the cold yet, and emotional stress can trigger a cough. We're trying to avoid that," the director added kindly.

"Don't be so polite with me, Doctor Zhou. We used to be colleagues. There's no need to thank me for such a trivial matter."

"I'm no longer a doctor here, but than

In a show of stubbornness, Lisa clamped her mouth shut, intending to give her a strictly one-sided conversation. She turned her body around, and at that moment, she saw Morry coming in with two bags. She greeted in a sleepy voice, "Aunt Morry!"

Morry was elated. It was rare for Lisa to call her like that. Since the little girl got sick, she rarely talked.

"Lisa, you're such a good girl. Are you feeling better now?" she said gently, walking closer to the bed.

"Aunt Morry, did you buy porridge with minced pork?"

Morry saw the girl's nose sniffing and exclaimed, "Yes. Our little Lisa has a sharp nose. It seems that you have recovered. That's amazing!"

"Yes, I'm feeling better now," Lisa was still a bit dizzy, but she responded in a bubbly manner.

"Great! Do you want to eat now? Aunt will feed you." The scene was utterly charming and graceful.

Who would have thought that the cold and aloof female lawyer would have a gentle side?

Mandy was a bit lost. Shy and uncomfortable, she felt like an outsider who was not supposed to be there.

'Am I wrong?'

For a moment, Mandy could not control her emotions and heaved an audible sigh.

The sound was so full of frustration that Colin froze, feeling heartbroken.
