Chapter 668 How About Handing Lisa Over To Mandy

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
With the surprised look on her face, one would think that she had discovered Bruce's deepest and darkest secrets.

"What is that look on your face?" Bruce said, equally surprised by Nacy's reaction. "Do I not have the right to feel sentimental?"

"Well, you do, but aren't people who have majored in math always rational?" Nacy asked as she scrunched her eyebrows together in confusion. "If you are this emotional, how were you able to teach your students when you were still a teacher?" At that point, Nacy decided to make fun of him a little bit to lighten the mood.

"I was always rational when I was in class," Bruce said in his defense, chuckling to make it known that he didn't take Nacy's jab at him personally. "But you know, everyone faces challenges differently because of their different personalities. Let me give you an example: suppose that you accept a role, and your goal is to totally embody that role in order to give a convincing performance. Now, if you do that to every role, are you still yourself whenever you play a role?" Bruce's patience in explaining all of these made Nacy appreciate him. Aside from that, the smile on his face was making her feel happy and at ease.

"That makes sense," Nacy said, nodding her head and smiling from ear to ear. For a brief moment, she had the opportunity to stare at Bruce's face—that was when she realized how little she knew about him.

The two of them then continued walking without saying anything. Surprisingly, the silence wasn't awkward. It was as if they were already in tune with one another.

At one point during their walk, a large group of jellyfish suddenly swam towards them. The view was immaculate, and together, the sea creatures looked like small umbrellas under the surface of the sea, but softer and fluffier. As Nacy's eyes widened in excitement and admiration, she looked like a child on her first beach trip.

"Bruce! Look! Jellyfishes!" After pulling Bruce's arm to get his attention, she joyfully waved her hands at the congregating jellyfishes near them. Her excitement made her forget that she was a public figure, and that she had a reputation to uphold.

"Wow," Bruce said, a surprised but amused look on his face. "It seems like you haven't seen any of those before! Is that why you're this excited to see them?" He laughed, but soon, he began to admire the view as well. "Well, they are indeed beautiful," he admitted as he looked at the pink jellyfishes.

Nacy didn't seem to mind Bruce's teasing because she was incredibly entranced by what she was seeing. "You know, I've never seen a pink jellyfish before," she said quietly.

"Then go take a closer look," Bruce encouraged, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "I think that group will leave pretty soon. But be careful—there's a shark up front." He then flashed her a charming yet mischievous smile.

"What? Then I don't want to go!" Nacy pretended to be angry, but

is really hard for a child like her to accept that the mother who used to love her so much suddenly doesn't want her anymore. You put her to bed and told her stories every night before, but now, you only meet her once a week. What the hell is that? No one, and when I say no one—no one—would ever accept such a situation. Not a child, especially!"

Mandy furrowed her eyebrows, and her expression darkened. "Morry," she said. "Do you still have anything to say?"

Morry was surprised at Mandy's reaction. Initially she thought that her little speech would make her emotional, but it seemed like it only awakened something inside Mandy. She swallowed nervously and glanced at Colin with a timid look. With a frown prominently featured on his face, it was clear that he wanted her to stop talking.

"I think it's better if I stop talking. I feel like someone here is becoming annoyed at me," she said, rolling her eyes and smiling mockingly. She shot a glance at Colin to make sure he knew she was referring to him.

After a while, Colin sighed and said, "Okay, then. If you really want to, go on and talk."

Morry raised her eyebrows and prepared herself to continue. "I think the best way to deal with this whole situation is to hand Lisa over to Mandy. She might have to persuade Nathan, but anything for Lisa, right?"

Morry was a lawyer who acted based on logic and not emotions. Divorce cases had been her specialty throughout the years, and she had seen couples fight for the custody of the child. Some couples were irresponsible and really didn't care for their children. Either way, she had seen the effects those feuds had on the children, and she could not help but feel sorry for them.

Mandy was gearing up to share what she was thinking, but Colin spoke first. "No," he said firmly. "I will not let that happen. That is an atrocious idea, and I would never entertain it. Lisa is my daughter. I will never give her to anyone else."
