"Did you really miss me? Tell me Adrian," Eve asked with a mild smile on her lips as she caressed Adrian's head gently.

Adrian was this beautiful little boy who was both adorable and handsome. But had he not been Mandy's son Eve probably would not have liked him so much.

"Obviously I missed you! I missed you very much! You did not come to visit me for such a long time," Adrian replied in all honesty. He was oblivious to the fact that Eve held a mad grudge against Mandy. At the end of the day, he was just a child.

"You see, the past few days I was extremely busy, but now I am here to see you," Eve replied with a gentle smile on her face.

Even though Adrian was a smart young boy, he was way too innocent to understand what happened between the adults.

"Sworn mother, did my dad ask you to pick me up?" Adrian questioned happily.

"Yes. Your dad must have been very busy today. Now, are you thirsty? Do you need something to drink? Shall I get you a cup of milk tea?" Eve asked as she poured two cups of hot milk tea from the back seat of her car.

Adrian was a little hungry. As he saw the cups full of milk tea, his eyes sparkled with joy. He immediately gulped down the tea. Just two minutes after he felt dizzy and lost consciousness.

Eve quickly started the car and drove to the underground garage. All the while she had this evil sneer on her face. She satisfactorily looked at Adrian who lay senseless in the front seat.

She carefully traced Adrian's smooth little face with her slim fingers as she raised the corners of her mouth in gratification. She glared at the little boy with her red glowing eyes.

'Oh, dear Adrian, if only you were not Mandy's son..' Eve thought to herself.

In reality, Eve never liked children much. Mostly she was annoyed by their constant chatter. But Adrian was different; she really liked him. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, this boy was the son of her rival in love.

She briefly checked the time. It was four o' clock and almost all the children from kind

and it slid out of her vein, causing a profuse blood loss.

As soon as Mandy saw this, she quickly responded to the emergency. She pulled out the needle from Lisa's hand and pressed her own hand onto Lisa's hand. This stopped the bleeding after a few minutes.

"Mom, did you really divorce dad? Why did you leave me alone, Mom?" Lisa started crying her eyes out the moment she started to speak to Mandy. She was breathless and coughed all the while.

Mandy felt a sharp sting in her heart upon being questioned. She felt sorry for little Lisa. She shook her head as tears rolled down her cheeks. She had no way to answer the girl. But still, she chose to answer her. She said, "Lisa, my baby, it is true that mommy and daddy have divorced, but mommy loves you very much, and she forever will!"

Mandy's voice trembled all the while. Her heart was broken into a million pieces. She felt sad and frustrated. If she knew that this was going to be one of the consequences, she would have never agreed to be Colin's wife.

"Mom, is it true that you are living with Uncle Jin?" Lisa asked again. Mandy could feel another wave of tears welling up, and by no means could she stop it.

Lisa obviously found it difficult to accept the fact that Colin and Mandy were not together anymore. She had accidentally learned about this development a few days ago.
