Chapter 645 An Audio File Could Prove Nothing

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Tina's voice rang out of the recording pen. "If you hadn't secretly contacted him, he wouldn't have fallen in love with you. Since you like to seduce men so much, why don't you cut the act and stop pretending like an innocent woman in front of me?"

"Yes, I like to pretend, especially in front of Ethon. But it's none of your business. Do you have any problems with that?" The woman sounded like Fiona. Ethon could imagine her lips curled in a scornful sneer from the way she talked.

"You are only with Ethon for his money, aren't you?" Tina said, disdain dripping from her voice.

"Yes. If he is broke, I won't be with him." The response was faint, almost inaudible.

"Well, Ethon has no money now. Why are you still with him? Aren't you in a hurry to have other rich men fall under your control?"

"What's the rush? Even if Ethon cut his connection with his parents, at the end of the day, he is still a member of the Yu Family. They will forgive him and ask him to return eventually. I'm not that stupid to break up with him, so don't bother yourself creating a wedge between us," Fiona enunciated each word slowly, her tone was rather calm.

"What if a wealthier man chases after you? Will you dump Ethon?"

"Certainly. If a man who is better looking and richer than Ethon shows up one day, I will dump him. I would be silly not to do so. Since you like him so much, I will consider giving him to you then."

There was static and some crackling noise, and then the recording ended. Ethon's mood turned dark, though he kept a straight face while listening.

He could hardly believe what he heard. Questions were buzzing around inside his head, but he had no answers. The voice seemed like Fiona's, which bugged him, but the thing that irritated him the most was her last sentence. His eyes narrowed, and his head throbbed as he recalled her raging insults.

He took a deep breath, struggling to control himself, but it was no good. He was beside himself with rage. The atmosphere in the living room was so eerily silent that you could hear a pin

elicate collarbones. His eyes peered at her behind a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, a small smile playing on his lips. The man was handsome, but not as elegant as Ethon. She heard a rumor that he had a crush on her, but she never gave it much thought.

He sat lazily on the chair with what seemed like a trace of satisfaction on his face.

Fiona gave him a polite smile back and then looked away, her eyes dropping to her laptop to avoid his gaze. She had no intention of talking with him.

"Bonjour!" Chauncey said, his voice resonating with a faint French accent as his eyebrows shot up.

"Bonjour!" Fiona imitated awkwardly. She knew the meaning of Bonjour was "hello" in English.

He took her response as an invitation to carry on and smiled widely. He placed his elbows on the table and crossed his arms, leaning in. His hair caught the sunlight as he moved, his short flaxen hair emphasizing his fair skin under the slanting rays. "Can you speak French too?"

"No, I can only say that word," she told him the truth. She had only heard the word on TV.

"What a coincidence! Why are you here alone? Where is your boyfriend?" Chauncey drawled with quiet amusement, seemingly curious.

"He is out on some errands."

"Miss Yu, can we become friends?" He thought for a while and then changed the topic.

"Of course." Out of courtesy, she did not refuse him.
