"Don't be silly. I won't allow anything bad to happen to you. Do you hear me?" Mandy held his hands tightly as she could feel his temperature already dropping. Tears fell down her face as she stared into the pale man's eyes.

"I-I'll be fine. I- I have a lot of things to tell you, Mand. I love you, and it was all my fault that I didn't show it to you enough. Can you...Can you forgive me?" Nathan choked from the blood that was now bubbling up his throat.

"When you get through this, we'll start over again, okay?" Mandy kissed Nathan's dry and cold lips. Tears slid down her cheeks and splashed against his face. He reached out a trembling hand to wipe them away.

"Don't cry, Mand. Let's start over again, okay?" A gentle smile wove its way onto his lips. Gone was the arrogant and vicious man that she had once met.

However, as soon as he said those words, he passed out.

Glancing at the couple in the backseat, Fred slammed his foot onto the gas instead of obeying the red light. In five minutes, the black Bugatti stopped right in front of JR Hospital.

As Nathan was wheeled into the operating room, Mandy cried her heart out. Fred had to also ask her to be taken away by the doctors to check up on her ankle.

She didn't really pay attention during her consultation. Every time the doctor told her to walk less, she would just nod numbly as her thoughts went back to her husband. Seeing this, the doctor quickly applied some ointment and handed her the prescription for it. After a stuttered thanks of gratitude, she hurried back to the waiting room.

An hour later, the operation was finally over. Fred raised his head as beads of sweat trickled down his forehead.

The doctor

e sunshine spilled into the ward. The VIP ward was warm and clean. There was not a single whiff of disinfectant that wafted around the room. It made patients feel comfortable while they were confined here.

"Would you like some water?" she asked worriedly, glancing at Nathan's dry lips.

"Okay. I want you to feed me," he demanded brazenly.

Mandy said nothing as she walked to the table not far away to pour a glass of water for him.

Looking at Mandy, Nathan saw her beautiful figure seemed to be bathed in the sunlight. Her fair skin glistened under the light, emphasizing her rose-colored lips and straight nose. She was wearing a light blue V-neck dress, highlighting her perfect figure.

Nathan still remembered the first time he met her. She was in a white dress, which had emphasized her innocence and purity. At first sight, Nathan had been attracted to her. Even now, Mandy had a way of playing his heartstrings.

After they became a couple, Nathan was the one organizing her wardrobe. This was why, even if they had been separated for around three years, her style was still closely in line with his aesthetic.
