"I am in love!" Fiona sat up from the bed with a smile that showed how truly happy she was.

"With Ethon?" Mandy was so excited that she didn't notice a peculiar figure approach her.

As Nathan backed the car, he saw something strange through the rear view mirror; it was that creepy man who stood behind Mandy. Nathan's eyes widened with worry and anger. He immediately stepped on the brake and rushed out of the car as quickly as possible.

However, Nathan was a little too late. Mandy's mouth had already been covered, and the assailant forcefully dragged the poor girl away. The whole fiasco sent Mandy's mobile phone banging on the ground.

Mandy wouldn't have been able to finish her words on the other end of the line, if it weren't for Fiona.

Fiona's smile slowly disappeared as her heart rose to her throat.

"Sister, what happened? Are you listening?"

Nathan quickly walked up to the man who held Mandy. The man, who wore a black mask, suddenly pulled a knife out and proceeded to put it on Mandy's neck. "Don't you dare come closer, or else I'll kill her right now," the assailant menacingly threatened.

Mandy's eyes were immediately filled with fear and confusion. A sharp knife had been placed against her neck, and she knew that it could kill her at any given moment. She found her hands tied behind her back, and she felt the assailant retreat slowly.

"Let go of her. Tell me what you want." Nathan narrowed his eyes. All of a sudden, he began to look dangerous. He decided to move forward, regardless of the threats made by the man in black.

The look on Nathan's face grew even darker. His eyes narrowed and looked cold, and his body had begun to give off a threatening aura. His eyes were locked onto Mandy, and his fists were tightly clenched to his sides.

"Fifty million dollars and I'll let her go..." The man in black nicked Mandy's neck twice, seeing how Nathan disregarded the initial threat. "If you come any closer, I promise to kill her," the assailant threatened once again.

Mandy struggled to escape, but the knife on her neck had rendered her helpless. She was afraid of how the

, Nathan was also down on the ground.

Fear clouded Mandy's eyes. She saw that the man in black was rushing towards them with the knife in his hand. Nathan turned around and instinctively stood in front of Mandy to protect her.

The man jammed his knife into Nathan's belly. Hot blood flowed out and stained Nathan's white shirt.

Surprisingly, another tall and powerful figure rushed out towards them. It was Fred, and Mandy saw him forcefully kick the assailant's side. The man ended up winded on the ground with his eyes wide open.

Mandy was astonished by the turn of events. Nathan frowned and stretched out his hand to cover her eyes, saying, "Mand, stop watching these violent scenes."

"Nathan, are you okay?" Tears poured down Mandy's face as she was petrified to see what had happened to Nathan. She couldn't stop crying.

"I'm fine. Don't worry... I won't die from this minor injury." Nathan gritted his teeth and pressed his belly with his hands. He was bleeding badly.

Fred immediately picked Nathan up and rushed towards the car. Mandy limped closely behind as she fought hard against the pain from her ankle. She sat on the back seat to take care of Nathan.

Nathan lay in her arms, and he held her softly. Nathan could hear Mandy's racing heartbeat. He touched her face with his fingers and smiled elegantly. "That's charming. It's so nice of you to still worry about me," Nathan whispered.
