Chapter 567 I Will Cooperate With You In Front Of Our Child

"Plus, you've always wanted me to die early, right? At least if I die because of my condition, you'll finally get your wish." After everything that she had heard, Mandy had enough of all his bullshit. She didn't want to forgive him anymore–over her dead body!

"If you really care about me, then you should help yourself. Adrian needs you. Could you bear the sight of him losing you again?" Nathan demanded.

Mandy glared at him. "Why did you send Adrian abroad that year. I'm also a cardiologist. Why didn't you let me have a try?" she snapped. "If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have been separated in the first place."

"Your emotions have gone haywire, plus, he's your son. Do you really think you're in the right mind to operate on him? If something bad had happened, wouldn't you carry the burden yourself?" Nathan gritted his teeth. While Mandy had enough of his words, he had enough of her reasoning. The woman was already driving him mad.

Mandy set the glass down before her and tried to stand up. "We'll sleep in separate rooms from now on."

"But you have to take the medicine," he stated. Finally, he made a concession.

Mandy lowered her gaze. "What if I want a divorce?"

"Don't even think about it. We've already talked this through."

"Nathan, you really are an asshole." Mandy shook off his hold and slammed the door behind her.

She made sure that the sound reverberated across the room. She hated it–hated the talk they had and hated his silence. Mandy had been so ready to take a step forward that it seemed that they had taken a hundred steps back.

'If you don't love me, then why did you take me back?' she thought

as she tossed and turned the whole night.

Nathan also couldn't fall asleep

Drugged one night by her ex-boyfriend, a mysterious man took advantage of her in an ecstatic night filled with sex.

Raising his gaze, he stared intensely at Mandy. Seeing that she was so worried for him, a heartfelt smile slipped onto his lips.

"Are you worried about me?" There was a trace of happiness in his voice.

Mandy pursed her lips. "I want to see Adrian. Can we see him?"

"Of course, I'll go with you," he said.

"No, thanks. You can go to work now. I'll go there myself." Seeing that Nathan's hand wasn't as red as before, she turned off the tap and proceeded to coat his hand with an Aloe Vera gel.

Nathan sighed. He couldn't help but feel uneasy with his wife's coldness. Sharon had always been a hurdle that they couldn't jump over. If they couldn't overcome it sooner or later, then it would be the end of their relationship.

"Send me a message when you arrive."

"Also, don't worry. I'll act with you in front of your child. I'll have to wait until he gets to Junior High School before I'll divorce you." She smiled sarcastically, staring up at him.

Nathan's eyes darkened as he forced a smile onto his lips. "Mandy Mall has been transferred to your name. From now on, you can work there."
