Fred walked into Nathan's office, holding a detailed document regarding the bidding. Tomorrow would be the day when they would bid for the land. At that time, everybody already knew who the final winner was.

"Mr. Jin, are you reading the tabloids again?" His voice was filled with amusement. Back then, Nathan couldn't care less about the tabloids, but ever since Mandy came back, he began paying more attention to the entertainment sector. The pianist Mackie seemed to occupy his thoughts all the time.

"Have all the bidding documents been prepared?" Nathan averted his gaze from the computer.

Fred shrugged, as a smile slipped onto his features. "There are two documents here. I don't know whether you want them or not."

"What do you think?" he asked coldly.

"Well, of course, you do. Not only would you want Mandy back in your arms, but you also want to advance your business," Fred replied almost automatically. These days, it had become difficult to guess what was running through Nathan's mind.

Nathan used to do things with ruthless determination, but in the face of Mandy, he learned the meaning of surrendering and relenting. He clearly had more intricate designs in drawing Mandy back to his arms, but he didn't push through them. Nathan understood that he couldn't win Mandy's heart back by taking tough measures.

As time went by, Fred found it even more difficult to decipher his plans. Just now, Nathan had asked him to prepare two documents for the bidding, and Fred still didn't know which one he would take to the bid tomorrow.

"It's good that you know." He smiled.

"Why can't you just force Miss Zhou to come back to you, sir?" Fred asked doubtfully yet respectfully as he placed the two documents onto his desk.

"If you go hunting, what will you be prouder of? Capturing a lame prey

more money to throw around.

The host standing on the stage couldn't help but cast him an envious stare. Nathan was truly a rich man.

"One billion dollars!" Colin said coldly.

Mandy pulled his arm, eyes widening. "Don't do that, Colin. The piece of land isn't worth that much."

He forced a smile. "Don't worry. The land may not be worth a billion dollars, but you're priceless to me."

"Why did you have to do that then? I'm already with you," she snapped.

Colin wrapped his arm around Mandy's shoulder. "I want to give the land to you," he confessed.

Although Mandy was deeply touched by his words, she still couldn't help but frown in worry.

"Would anyone like to bid for a higher price?" the host called out. "If no one budges, then the deal is made!"

Nathan didn't raise the price again. Although he could afford it, he wanted to spare Colin's company. It seemed that Colin loved Mandy more than he had thought, which worried Nathan.

"Congratulations! Mr. Yu of YC Group finally takes this land," the host announced.

Colin and Mandy walked up the stage together hand in hand.

He signed the land transfer agreement in public. Finally, he excitedly kissed Mandy on her forehead.
