"Don't forget your promise. You have one month." The coldness returned to his features as he snorted.

Mandy got into the car and slammed the door in reply.

She didn't bother to say another word.

Nathan clenched his fists. He hated it, hated the fact that he needed to resort to this just to draw her back.

'This is the last time I'll do this, Mand. If you're still unwilling to come back, then I'll let you go forever. I'll wish you a lifetime of happiness with that man!' he thought.

Mandy started the engine and stepped on the accelerator. Immediately, the car disappeared into the night.

Nathan stood by the door for a long time as he watched the retreating car. It was not until Adrian called out to him that he scooped up the boy in his arms and headed back home.

Although he was still young, Adrian was good at gauging people's emotions. For example, he knew that the way Nathan looked at Mandy was not the same as the way he looked at Eve. He could tell that his father liked Mandy a lot. This was why he decided to like her too.

"Is she my mommy, Dad?" Adrian's eyes twinkled.

Nathan smiled faintly, but he didn't answer.

Adrian was too young, so he wouldn't understand half the things that had happened between them. This was why he chose not to say anything instead.

"Do you like her?" he asked, ruffling his son's hair.

"Yes, I do. I like her very much!"

Looking at his son with so much love and care, Nathan thought that all of his efforts were worth it. Although she hadn't seen or hugged Adrian ever since he was born, he knew that they both felt a connection to each other. The power of blood was definitely one to be reckoned with.

The scenery surrounding them was beautiful. Half an hour later, Nathan finally drove the car into an underground parking lot at Mandy Mall.

Business was booming as usual. It took him a few minutes before he found a parking space.

After returning to China, Mandy seldom went shopping, so she was unfamiliar with the shopping mall. Nathan got out of his car. He quickly took his son in one hand and pulled Mandy's hand with the other.

She flushed in embarrassment. However, before she could say anything, Adrian jumped out of Nathan's arm and moved between them. He held Mandy with his right hand and held Nathan with his left.

His small hand was incredibly warm. Mandy couldn't help but smile at his touch.

'If my son didn't die three years ago, Nathan and I would've been a family by now. He probably adopted Adrian because he looked so much like the son we could've had, ' she thought with a sigh.
