"Ethon, you know I didn't mean it that way. I just want you to live a happy life. You understand that, don't you?" Monica touched the back of his hand worriedly, fearing that Ethon might misunderstand her.

"Well, stop it," he said through gritted teeth. "You've always been like this. If you don't want me to leave this house, then don't force me to do things I don't want to do."

"Ethon... you..." she was about to say something, but she was just too enraged by anger to finish. She clutched her chest, drawing in deep breaths. She had a cardiovascular problem, which caused minor heart attacks if she didn't take her medicine.

With a worried frown, Ethon held his mother's arm anxiously. "Mom, are you okay? Mom?"

"My room," she gasped out, trying to control her breathing. "The medicine. It's in the first drawer of my cabinet." Monica pressed her hand against her chest, closing her eyes.

Ethon immediately jumped out of bed and ran to the bedroom next door. After a short while, he ran back with around four or five boxes of medicine in his hands.

After feeding her the pills, he couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt in his heart. He didn't know that his mother had started taking medications for her heart.

Ethon lowered his head as strands of hair fell on his forehead. He took a deep sigh of relief. "Mom, I'm sorry."

Lying on the bed, Monica smiled faintly. "Don't say sorry. Just–just don't argue with me too much, okay?" she gasped out as her heart rate returned back to normal.

"Mom–"

"Look, Shyla's a good girl, and I can tell that she likes you very much. Can't you at least give it a try?" Her eyes lit up with excitement, taking advantage of the situation she was in.

Ethon nodded reluctantly. "Fine."

Anyway, Fiona already liked someone else. After knowing that Fiona

she leaned in. Her heart was beating so fast as if she was running a marathon.

As their lips were about to touch, he suddenly turned his head. "I'll wait for you, Mand," he promised.

Mandy closed her eyes tightly, hating herself for it. Why couldn't she just act normal around him? As always, he saw right through her act.

In the afternoon, Mandy called Fiona over to the Summer Villa.

She sent Sandra upstairs to take care of Lisa while she was napping.

After making two cups of tea, Mandy handed a cup over to Fiona, who seemed to be in an excellent mood.

"What's the good news? Tell me," Mandy urged.

"Nothing. Just let it go." Fiona waved her hand dismissively.

"Nana... What do you think of Tina?" The light in Mandy's eyes vanished in an instant as she stared at her sister intently.

Turning her head, Fiona furrowed her eyebrows. She forced a smile into her lips. "Why would you ask me that?"

"What I'm about to tell you is the truth. Last night, I attended an activity held by the music association. I happen to see Tina screwing the driver of the chairman of the music guild. I've taken a video as proof." She held up her phone as proof, scrunching her nose up in disgust.
