Chapter 509 I Will Never Do That!

"Please come in, Morry," Mandy called her over the phone, still shaken by the events that had just transpired.

Morry came in as soon as she got the call. Wearing a standard business suit and a pair of high heels, she walked up to Mandy with a smile.

"Why did you call me?" she asked, sitting down on the sofa. When she saw the cheese crackers on the table, she took a piece.

"I swear, you're always eating." Mandy sighed, shaking her head. "Take a look at this, will you?"

"You know I work better when I'm full. What's this? Oh shit, it's a summons! Did Nathan really go to court over this?" Molly gazed up at her, her eyes still wide in shock.

Mandy nodded heavily in response.

"Who can imagine that three years ago you were hopelessly in love with each other, and now he's taking you to court. As the saying goes, you never know what's coming for you," she teased, waving the documents in her hand.

"Ass. Solve it right away for me, please." Mandy sighed. Her head was already pounding. She didn't want to let anyone know that Nathan was suing her, or else her and Colin's reputations would be ruined. It took Colin a long time before he could bring the YC Group to City A. If word got out about this, he'd be ruined.

"Mandy, I'm well prepared for this case, but I have to warn you. There's a 50% chance I could win. Since you didn't report your termination agreement to the court that year, it would be difficult for me to prove that there was a termination in the first place."

"What will happen if I lose?" Mandy frowned.

Morry's smile faltered. She stopped eating the cheese crackers on the table. "The worst case scenario is that you'd be sentenced to prison for around two to three y

ned out to be Mackie, this is all bullshit!" Karen roared. She turned on the tap, fixing her makeup in the process.

"Yes, I know that, but you shouldn't be angry with her! It's better to stay away from her, okay? She's Nathan's ex-wife, and not only that, there are other men backing her. The slut doesn't deserve our attention," she replied dismissively.

"Didn't she fall off the cliff? Why did she come back? Why can't the slut just die? Plus, I heard that Colin's not actually their legitimate child. He isn't Malcolm and Monica's son. A bastard and a bitch! What a good match," Karen said snidely, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

"No wonder he didn't come back till three years ago, but Colin and his brother still look alike."

"That's because they have the same father, idiot! Good men are rarities in this world. Nearly all the rich men are either skirt-chasers or womanizers. They're ridiculous. Ah! The rich bastard and the slutty bitch." Karen snorted, cackling.

Mandy stopped texting as her face darkened. Normally, she would've argued back with them immediately, but she had grown more composed now during the years.
