"Mr. Jin, you shouldn't be mean to you child. How about getting him some ice cream to cool down on a hot day?" Colin suggested coolly.

"My dad's not mean! You're the one who's mean," Adrian protested, having enough of the whole conversation. Although he was young, he could tell that the two people in front of him were mocking his father.

Mandy frowned at the child's outburst. He was too young to get involved in this matter. She sniffed, circling her arm around Colin's. "Colin, Lisa, let's go see the panda," she said softly.

"Okay." Looking into Mandy's clear eyes, Colin smiled. Without another word, he whisked his family away from them—as if their encounter with Nathan hadn't happened.
