Chapter 441 A Sound Out From Colin

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"Not bad. Colin, didn't you sleep well?"

"I read a book before I went to bed. I thought about it all night." There was a tinge of exhaustion painted all over Colin's handsome face. He stretched out his fingertips to rub his forehead. A part of him was still wondering whether it was the right choice to bring Mandy to City C.

The file that he had gotten–Sharon was nowhere to be seen. It seemed that all her information was completely wiped out of their system. It was weird how she'd come back to the Lin Family all of a sudden.

A part of him doubted if the car crash even happened in the first place. Where had she been all these years?

"What's the story about?" She tilted her head.

"It was about a man whose first love had died. After a few years, he married his first love's best friend, and she gave birth to a child. He named their child after a pet name he'd given to his first love. In the end, his wife found out all about it and divorced him. It was just posted online," he said, making up the story as he went.

Colin was a prosecutor. If there was one thing he was good at, it was knowing how to improvise on the spot.

However, he couldn't help but feel guilty. He touched the back of his ears–one of his telling signs that he was lying.

"What an ass!" Mandy scrunched up her nose in disgust after hearing the end.

Her eyes were blazing with fury.

"If you were the woman, what would you have done?" he asked tentatively.

"I'll divorce him and never see him again," she said softly. However, even Colin could hear the firmness of her tone, indicating that she meant every word that she'd spoken.

"And if you were pregnant when you found out the truth?" Colin decided to press a bit more. Having been a prosecutor, he always knew how to squeeze out information without the other party

out of the kitchen when Mandy rushed towards the door first. "It's okay, Lillian, I'll get it."

Mandy opened the door to see Sharon standing there, carrying bags of gifts in her arms.

"Sharon, welcome," she said enthusiastically, her eyes glinting with joy.

"You have such a nice home, Mand," Sharon gazed at the villa in awe. The decoration was very western, and the amount of detail placed on the villa was very intricate. It was beautiful–a mix of classic and modern that could send any interior designer in a daze.

"Come in. You didn't have to bring so many gifts." Mandy laughed lightly.

Sharon was changing her shoes when Lillian approached them. Lillian took one glance at the guest, and her jaw dropped.

"Sha... Sha..." Lillian quickly covered her mouth just as she was about to say the woman's name. She turned pale.

"Sha what? Lillian?" Mandy tilted her head, not realizing what was going on in Lillian's mind.

"I'm cooking fish in the kitchen. I smelt something fishy. Madam, I should get going now." Lillian didn't even give her a chance to say anything before rushing back to the kitchen. Her face was so pale that it was as if she had seen a ghost. In this case, maybe she had.
