Chapter 425 A Secret That Can Not Be Exposed

The car accident that had happened a while back had really scared the shit out of Damian.

"Son of a bitch! He canceled the contract! I've already deposited a million into that project." Luke's voice sounded across the study as he slammed his fists on the table.

The secretary was trembling at his booming voice. She gripped the report in her hands, eyes wide in panic. "Sir..." she stuttered out. "Mr. Shi, this is Mr. Jin's order. I can't do anything about it."

Luke's eyes blazed at the mention of Nathan. "You don't even have enough experience, and you're already questioning me," he said snidely, looking up at her. "Tell me, how is the girl he's seeing?"

"They... They have an appointment today," the secretary stumbled out the words.

"If you want to play this game, Nathan, I'll play with you. Get rid of the girl!" he commanded, his voice as cold as ice. Nathan would be sure to regret his decision of ever messing with him!

Standing at the door of the study, Damian could hear word-for-word what his father and his secretary were talking about. His fingers curled around the door handle, and he gritted his teeth. Was the man inside truly his father? It seemed money had sucked the humanity out of him!

Although Damian and Nathan's relationship were stiff, they weren't enemies. Backing away from the door, he ran down the staircase, a hand gripping his phone. A part of him wanted to call Nathan, but he was afraid of betraying his father. His father already had heart disease, so if he found out...Without another thought, he chased the secretary's car!

Damian made sure to tail the secretary all the way. His car went downtown, and when it was already too crowded, he jumped out of the car to take a walk.

already cut all ties from her hypocritical family, and after a little cosmetic surgery, her face was already a carbon copy of Sharon. What's more, she already knew how to play the violin, so she could imitate how Sharon played it.

As a matter of fact, Damian had already trained Sharon in secret to fool Nathan. He just wasn't expecting Mandy's appearance. She made Nathan fall in love again, which he hated, so he tried to insert Jennifer into his life.

Even if the plan failed, as long as Nathan and Mandy broke up, he'd be happy.

Suddenly, his phone rang. It was a strange number.

Damian finally came to his senses and fished out the phone from his pocket. He walked back to the room, letting the warmth envelop him once again.

"Hello?" he answered lightly. Damian fell onto the bed, his face stiff from the cold breeze.

"It's me." Jennifer's playful voice came over the line.

He furrowed his eyebrows, sitting up. "Where did you get this number?"

"I bought it, of course." She laughed.

The numbers of her phone must be verified with a real name. For Jennifer to communicate with Damian, she should have gotten a cell phone card using someone else's ID Card.
