Chapter 423 I Don't Want

Cassie's eyes widened. She wasn't expecting that Nathan would have the right answer, so she continued, "What do you like about the bride?"

"I like everything about her."

"The last question...well, it's not really a question, but we do require that you complement our bride here using at least twenty words."

Nathan took a deep breath as he stared at the hard oak door. "Honey, you're absolutely beautiful. You're stunning, virtuous, kind, lovely, pure, considerate, elegant, clever, loyal–and I thank all my lucky stars that I got to marry you and that you love me. You're everything to me, and I can't imagine my life without you." He didn't even take one second to breathe as he listed it all out sincerely. Nathan placed a hand on his chest, his gaze as smoldering as ever.

Cassie and Fiona smiled, swooning at all the words he had used, as they opened the door for him.

Finally able to see her, Nathan was about to kneel down and propose when Cassie placed a hand on his shoulder, stopping him from doing so.

"Not yet, Mr. Jin. You have to look for the bride's shoes first, and then you can take her away."

Mandy's eyes glistened as Nathan promptly ordered his groomsmen to help him find the pair of wedding shoes. As they searched every crevice of the incredibly large room, they finally found it hidden in the back of the closet.

"Are you satisfied now?" He smiled, propping the pair of shoes in front of Mandy so that she could wear them.

"Yes, yes. The groom may kiss the bride. May you live happily ever after," Cassie said, snickering.

At Nacy's wedding ceremony, the events were also pretty intriguing. Compared to the mental activities that were set up in Mandy's ceremony, Nacy's ceremony was a test of physical skills.

As soon as Simon entered the room, Nacy's friends quickly asked Simon to do mandatory push-ups. The first round was for him to do thirty push-ups, which wasn't really a problem. However, in the second round, the bride's group added fifty more push-ups, which Simon had asked his groomsmen to do on his behalf.

The bridesmaids counted the entire thing, laughing and cackling at the sweat that was already dripping from their heads.

Just when Simon thought it was all over, a bridesmaid took out a bucket of ice and offered it to them, requiring them to melt the ice using their body heat for five minu

t their wedding rings to them. They quickly exchanged their rings.

"The groom may kiss the bride!" The emcee's voice boomed through the speakers, and everybody jumped up to applaud the happy couple. There were some who were laughing about the incident that had happened, while others were already dabbing their cheeks to wipe off the stray tears.

Damian stared at Nathan and his bride as he sat near the stage. Although he was applauding with the other guests, he wasn't the least bit impressed by the show. In fact, a part of him was a bit jealous of the whole ordeal.

Colin and Ethon also came to the wedding. Seeing the happy look on Mandy's face, Colin couldn't help but look away, feeling as if a knife was carving out his heart. Even so, he resisted the urge to rush up the stage and clapped with the other guests. He smiled, blinking the tears from his eyes.

In the back row, Bruce stood, sorrow evident in his gaze. The woman he had vowed to love had already settled down with someone else. He had promised her that their relationship would return to what it was–as brother and sister, yet it seemed that the dull ache in his chest couldn't be wiped away.

Bruce shouldn't have come to the wedding. He knew that Mandy had never loved him, but he just wanted to come and witness the pure joy on her face. From now on, he wouldn't come and disturb her anymore.

As soon as the host finished speaking, Nathan lifted Mandy's veil. He slid one of his arms around her waist while the other was around her neck. Without another second, he leaned in to kiss her.
