"Okay." Nathan nodded.

"That's good. Now go downstairs and apologize to your mother. You need to cajole women and keep them happy, you know? That's the trick." Jason winked at Nathan. Being the dutiful husband that he was, Jason had first-hand experience in winning a woman's heart.

Jason and Nathan walked downstairs, one after the other. Nathan breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Mandy and Daisy chatting happily. He did not expect Mandy to be so cool and handle it effortlessly. Other women would have lost their minds by now.

Nathan and Mandy left home after lunch.

The car swept along the urban streets as the sun sprinkled its warmth and shine, glistening everything on their way. The view was breathtaking. Lush camphor trees were aligned on either side of the road, forming a canopy. The cool autumn breeze caressed them, carrying the sweet scent of flowers.

Mandy smiled contentedly and pulled the phone out to check the status of her thesis, but it was out of battery. Mandy let out a groan.

"Nathan, can I borrow your phone? I want to check my thesis," Mandy asked, cocking her head to the side. The soothing music playing in the car seemed to add a romantic touch to the already beautiful evening.

Nathan smiled and handed the phone to Mandy without any hesitation.

When Mandy was about to open the mailbox, the phone chimed with an anonymous message.

"Nathan, I miss you so much."

Mandy's smile faded in an instant, and her heart sank at the message. Her mind flitted to the anonymous call to Nathan's phone the other night. Mandy's mind was in a complete mess.

"Stop!" she yelled, making Nathan jolt on the spot.

Nathan stared at Mandy and almost lost control over his car.

"Stop the car!" she screamed and glared at Nathan.

"What's wrong with you?" Nathan's brows fur

lost her mind and would have killed herself while taking the lives of many. Fortunately, everyone had safely escaped from the horrifying accident.

Nathan slammed the brake and turned the engine off when they arrived at the villa. He quickly stepped out of the car and walked towards the passenger seat and opened the door.

Afraid that Mandy would run off again, he quickly picked her up in his arms and kicked the door shut, making the car rattle.

Mandy was aware that Nathan was trying hard to suppress his rage.

Lillian was busy cleaning the living room. She stopped working when she saw Nathan storm into the house with Mandy in his arms. She wondered if they had quarreled again.

The loud bang of the door of Nathan's room answered her question.

Nathan carefully placed Mandy on the bed and stared into her eyes. He blew out a loud breath.

"What the hell was that? Why did you get out of the car?" he asked, his eyes burning into hers.

Mandy's face was flustered with embarrassment, but the thought of the anonymous message brought back the rage that had settled in her stomach.

"Check your message." Mandy frowned and became nervous at the sight of Nathan, who was shaking with fury.
