Chapter 395 Why Don't You Work As My Father's Personal Physician

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
At the thought of having to deal with piles of company documents, Simon scratched his head. A strong emotion of frustration coursed through him. He had run away from home on an impulse, and now he had to make amends of his stupidity. But on the bright side, he had won Nacy's love. At the end of the day, that was the only thing that mattered.

"All right, fine. Shall we buy some gifts on our way? I don't think it's appropriate to go back home without any gifts in hand," said Nacy, worrying a great deal about the meet-up.

"You don't need to buy anything, Nacy. You have met my family before. Don't be so nervous, okay? Gifts will make it look too formal," Simon said as he reached out his hands and wrapped them around her waist.

"All right. It's up to you!" Nacy turned around and gave him a sweet smile, which melted Simon's heart. This was the smile he wished to see till the end of his life.

At the JR Hospital, things weren't going that well with Mandy.

Since Mandy was pregnant, she began to feel inefficient in her work. It was said that pregnant women had a hard time in their first three months of pregnancy. And at present, nobody, except for Cassie and Jayleen, knew about her pregnancy. She thought it was best to keep the news from the rest.

"Director Zhou, the outpatient department just called to ask if there are any spare beds in the in-patient department. They specifically asked for you to perform the surgeries for two of their patients," Jayleen announced with a worried face, holding a test report in her hand.

Mandy was always on a very tight schedule. As a chief doctor with the Cardiology Department, she had gained a high reputation since she was appointed as the director of the Cardiology Department. Many patients in other hospitals had themselves transferred to JR Hospital, just so they could ask Mandy to perform surgery for them. And with new work thrown on her every now and then, Mandy was quite overwhelmed. Jayleen thought if this continued, Mandy would be exhausted sooner or later. Besides, since she was pregnant, it wasn't right for her to tire herself in this manner.

"My surgery work has been scheduled for the next month. Please tell them that they better change the doctor if they can't wait. I have no choice, you know." Mandy sighed tiredly, her face still pale.

e surgery on me. I must admit that I am apprehensive to hire a different doctor." Luke was dead set on keeping Mandy as his personal physician. As a matter of fact, he had a hidden reason for doing so!

"Mr. Shi, you needn't worry. Nowadays all the doctors are quite qualified. Maybe I can introduce you to a reliable doctor," Mandy said in a low voice, smiling mildly.

"When will you come back, Dr. Zhou?" asked Luke.

"It depends, Mr. Shi. But you can rest assured. If you feel uncomfortable or think the doctor I introduced isn't good enough, you can ring me at once. You know, there are many surgeries that need to be performed in my hospital. I am really tied up!" Mandy explained patiently.

"Okay, I see."

"If there's nothing else, I'm going to go now." Mandy stood up and was ready to leave.

"Damian, please see Dr. Zhou off,"

Luke ordered, seeing that Mandy was about to leave. Holding the medical kit, Damian walked out with Mandy like a gentleman.

"Why won't you continue working as my father's personal physician?" Once they were out of Luke's sight, Damian frowned and put forth the question.

"I've told you that I am quitting due to a personal reason."

"Are you sick of treating my father? Or was it Nathan who forced you? What did he say?" Damian asked curiously. He felt that this was not as simple as it seemed. And he was determined to get to the crux of the matter.

"It has nothing to do with Nathan!" Mandy answered as she raised her head and looked at Damian. She wished he would stop making assumptions!
